Inkspirational #153

Hello and happy Saturday everyone!

We have a great challenge for you over at Inkspirational for the next two weeks. Our word is 'Attachment' and I struggled with this one in the beginning. Sandie and I were talking about it and she gave me some great ideas that actually led to me thinking outside the box.

Here is my card -

As most of you know, my first grandchild was born in November. Well, I can quite honestly say that my 'Attachment' to him is nothing like I have ever known. So, I created a card for him!

How will you interpret this word? I can't wait to see. Check out the challenge blog for more ideas!

When Card Making meets Acrylic Fluid Art

Hi everyone! I have been a little obsessed with a new form of art I have been trying. You may have seen my  LP records that I have altered into clocks using Acrylic Fluid Pouring. It is seriously fun! I have been practicing on canvases lately too. When I have a little left over paint, I use yupo paper to either smooch it up or pour straight onto the paper. Here is an example of what my panel looks like when finished.

This is a combination of blue, white and silver acrylic paint leftovers poured onto yupo paper. It's fun to combine the two.... This is my first card using this technique!

Inkspirational #152

We have a brand new challenge over at Inkspirational. I hope you will play along.

I've made two cards using our inspirational photo.

The first card used Vanilla cardstock instead of white. I felt it gave it a nice vintage feel.

I used Vintage, Pearls, Floral

Guest Designing for AAA Cards

Hi there! I hope you are well and creating lot's of goodies at the moment.

I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer at AAA Cards for their latest challenge.

Here is my card -

This was an easy card to create. I embossed my circles then smooshed different brusho colours onto my panel. I also embossed my little words and popped them up with foam.

I really tried to recreate the graphic provided for this challenge. For the quote, I wanted to inspire everyone with some words related to travel. It's always great to see new places - even it is just down the road and you haven't taken the time to see something new :)

HLS January CAS Challenge

Hello! Time for a new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

A new year and time to celebrate friendships old and new!

I have made two cards - both with a combination of dry and heat embossing.

I have a new embossing mat for my big shot. I have never embossed with dies before... can dies get any better??? A shout out to Chrissie - she showed me this technique at the HLS Retreat. I knew you could emboss with dies but had never tried it before!

Card # 1
I've embossed the die letters, stamped and embossed my butterfly, then drawn lines with a gold pen.

Card #2
I embossed my heart die and also embossed my sentiments.

HLS January Watercolour Challenge

Happy New Year everyone! Here's to 2018!

The first challenge of the year at Happy Little Stampers is our Anything Goes with Watercolours - our option this month is SEQUINS.

Here is my card -

I have smooshed brusho colours onto watercolour paper. I've used yellow, orange, and crimson.

When smooshing with more than one colour, start with the lightest first. Build up your layers by drying in between smooshes.
