CCS Challenge #25 - Sketch

Hi everyone! Are you ready for a new challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches?

This week is a sketch challenge -

Please don't forget that this is a card only challenge and you must use stamping.

Here is my DT card -

My photography skills have let me down again. I have used the Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight combo again (Polka Dot Parade DSP - SU!).

I have stamped onto the white panel with Basic Grey using my stamps from Inspired by Stamping. I have just purchased one of their label stamp sets and co-ordinating dies and can't wait to use them.

The polka dot panel has been popped up on dimensionals.

Easy Peasy!

I hope you will be able to join us this week!!!

ATSM - ANYTHING GOES!!!

Hi there everyone are you up for a challenge where Anything Goes?

Over at ATSM, that's the challenge just started. Please make sure you follow our rules as there is a great prize up for grabs.

Firstly, onto my DT card -

I thought glossy card stock was hard to photograph..... mama mia!!!!

I took inspiration from the current SU catalogue to make this. In the catalogue, they use this card as a wedding card. I just love the colours together and wanted to recreate it and put my own spin on it.

So, I have made the base out of a transparency. The back inside panels are Basic Grey and Glossy White.  The front panel (and also the inside) is cut from my new set of Polka Dot Parade DSP. I used  my Framelits Label collection die on Basic Grey and used my paper piercing template around the edge. The banner is from my Heart A Flutter die set and used a partial die cutting technique to create a double ended banner. I have stamped the sentiment with Basic Grey ink onto a scrap piece of the Polka Dot Parade DSP and cut it using a circle die.

The little flowers were cut using my Itty Bitty punch on Glossy White and then a big dob of yellow stickles for the centres.

That's it! It was a little fiddly but I enjoyed making it. I think I will be using a lot more of grey and yellow together. It's so lovely.

So, off to the challenge blog you should go to check out the other inspiration from the DT.

ATCAS #13 - BIRTHDAY

Well, hello there. I hope you are all having a great start to your weekend.

I have to admit that it is starting to get cooler here now. I tease all the ladies on my DT about how it is nearly winter here and I still walk around with bare feet etc. Well, the ugg boots are on, so I hope you are happy!! I am still getting rotten hayfever though. I mean, it's only cold when you have lived here for so long and you get aclimatised to the weather. My family in Canberra would laugh at me for feeling cold when they are getting temps REALLY low down south. So, it is still warm enough for my lemon tree to still be flowering and producing massive lemons, my roses are going strong and, well, so are all the other flowers. Hence, the hayfever.

That was a bit of a rant, so onto the more exciting things like the newest challenge that has just started over at Addicted to CAS.

I am your host this week and I have chosen the code word

And here is my DT card -

I loved how this card turned out but my love turned to hate when trying to photograph it. OMG - I have never used glossy cardstock before and I probably wont be again. I finally got a decent pic but left it until the 11th hour while the sun has just about gone down. (It is only 5.30pm while I am scheduling this post and already it's pitch black outside).

So you already know that I used glossy white cardstock. I stamped the candles and sentiment which are from my Birthday Banter set (SU). I then waved my heat gun over it for a bit. I have no idea if I was meant to or not but I did ;)

I placed the repetative stamp using my stamp-a-ma-jig and then just coloured with my markers (SU). The panel has been popped up with dimensionals.

Well, I hope you can join us for this challenge over at Addicted to CAS. I can't wait to see everyone's birthday cards!

We also have a cool sponsor for you - our CAS Perfectionist will get 7 digis of their choice.

Check out the blog and the DT creations - you will love them!

CC&S - Colours

Hi everyone and yep, second post for me today.

Firstly, I would just like to mention that my friend and fellow team mate at CAS Colour and Sketches, Sandie, is enjoying her birthday today! Please don't forget to pop by her blog and give her your wishes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDIE!!!!

Now, onto my DT card for the current challenge at CAS Colour and Sketches.

Well, here are the colours first :)

We have used Stampin' Up colours but you may use the closest colours that you have in your stash.

I used my Lovely as a Tree set (SU) which I have BARELY used and must make amends.
I simply used my Stampin' Write markers directly onto the stamps. I don't have Calypso Coral so I substituted it with Tangerine Tango.  I feel that Sympathy cards should be as Clean and Simple as can be - much more powerful in my opinion.

I hope you join us over at CAS Colours and Sketches. Don't forget your card must be clean and simple and you must use stamping.

Thanks so much for looking xx

Less Is More #119 One Layer

Hi everyone! I hope you are well.

I was a happy little camper when I received an order of SU goodies today. It is quite overcast and cool here (I have my ugg boots on!!! ssshhhh) and it was perfect to do some craft.

I have just ordered some Basic Grey cardstock for the first time and I was hoping it would arrive in time so I could create a card for the current challenge over at Less Is More.

You are required to create a one layer card with a dark coloured cardstock.

I love the simplicity of this card by pairing the Basic Grey and Whisper White.

I have used a flourish stamp from my Elements of Style set (SU). The sentiment is from a set that was yet to be inked - Feeling Sentimental (SU). I like the two stamps together. They have both been inked with Whisper White ink. I was originally going to emboss everything but I like the end result as it is.

Thanks so much for looking xx

ATSM Challenge #45 Photo Inspiration

Hi!!

We have a wonderful photo inspiration for you to try this week over at ATSM

Here it is -

I love this photo and there were so many ways that I could have interpreted it. I decided to take the wood, colours and flowers as my inspiration.

Here is my DT card -

I used Crumb cake cardstock and embossed a panel with my woodgrain folder (Tim Holtz). The yellow cardstock was scrap so I have no idea where it came from! I stamped two daisies from my Mixed Bunch set (SU). I then used my Blossom Punch (SU) to punch them out but then fussy cut around them. I popped on an Antique Brad (SU) through each flower and used Glossy Accents to adhere them to the panel. I also used my scoring stylus to shape them a little.

I used my Hearts a Flutter Framelits (SU) to cut out a banner and stamped a sentiment from my Petite Pairs set (SU).

I really like this colour combination :)

We have a great sponsor for you this week. We are joined again by

who is offering 2 x sheets of digis (8 images in total) to our Top Addict.

I hope you will join us over at ATSM - Check out the inspiration from our DT - you wont be disappointed.

I would like to add my card into these wonderful challenges -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP FOR MYNNETTE!!

Hello!! I hope you are all well.

The ever sneaky and crafty Ellen has put together a blog hop for our wonderful leader at Inkspirational.

Today is Mynnette's birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MYNNETTE
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!!

We have a great blog hop for you today. There is also the chance of taking home some blog candy. Here's what you have to do.

You will need to follow the blog hop and comment on each of the ladies who have participated for Mynnette's birthday bash.  So, if you have followed everything correctly, you should have arrived here from the lovely and talented Yvonne's blog.

If you have missed any, it's ok. Just go back to the Inkspirational blog and follow the list.

So, us ladies over at Inkspirational have decided to go through Mynnette's blog (ooo ahhhh) and chose a project of Mynnette's that we would like to CASE.

Here is Mynnette's card that I have chosen -

I just loved the layout of this card and, of course, the butterflies. I felt this card was right up my alley!

Here is my CASE -

I have made obvious changes but always had Mynnette's card in mind. I have used an Inspired by Stamping set called Elegant Flowers and used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour in my rose. I have used my white gel pen around the tops of the petals to give it a bit more definition. I actually stamped this rose a number of times on this panel but only coloured the one that I wanted to highlight. I also used my Sahara Sand marker around the outside of the image to help it pop a little.

Lots of dimensionals have been used to pop everything up. I used a marker to create my doodled border. The butterflies are from my Beautiful Wings embosslit.

The sentiment is also from Inspired by Stamping and comes from a set called Butterfly Wings.

So!! There is it. My CASE of Mynnette's card especially for her birthday.

Next in line for the blog hop is the wonderful and so very talented Marina.
Don't forget to visit everyone and leave a comment on their post so you can be in the running for the blog candy.

AND!!! Don't forget to visit Mynnette and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Thanks so much for looking xx

Inkspirational Photo Challenge

Hi everyone, we have a brand new challenge starting right now over at Inkspirational. We have a photo to inkspire you today -

And I took the inspiration photo very literally!

Here is my DT card -

I was really happy with this card, especially the masking of the balloons. I used a stamp from my Pedal Presents set.

THEN, I went and put glossy accents all over the balloons but I was really unhappy with the end result. Maybe it is just the light  shining on the balloons that just doesn't make it look right?

Anyhoo, I still like the card lol.

I hope you will join us over at Inkspirational for this fun challenge!

Thanks so much for looking xx

Are you a CAS Addict? I am!!

Hi there everyone! I hope you are well.

I have a 'cute' but CAS DT card to share for you today. CAS because that is the challenge going on right now over at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Here is my card -

This card has been especially made for a very good friend of mine. Her daughter had a baby boy on Monday so this is the card I am going to send.

This baby pram is soooo easy to create. Here is how I did it -

For the base of the pram - use a circle die and chop it in half. I have embossed it with my Swiss Dots folder.
For the top of the pram, I have used a scallop circle die and then only used a quarter of it by chopping it up too. I then scored from the center outwards and folded it all up. I used glossy accents to adhere it to another slightly smaller quarter circle. I then taped the base and the top together on the wrong side of the card stock.
The wheels are simply smaller circles. I have popped the 'hub caps' up on dimensionals and then just used a marker to roughly draw the spokes.

A little bit of lace finished it off!

Then I adhered it to a panel with double sided tape and popped that up on dimensionals too.

The sentiment is from my Friendly Phrases set.

I hope you can join us over at ATSM and show off your CAS creations. We have a wonderful sponsor again this week -

Inkspirational Colour Challenge

Hi everyone, I hope you are well.

We have a colour challenge for you over at Inkspirational this week.

The colours I have used in my stash are Stampin' Up colours - Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango.

Here is my DT card

I have created a very CAS card which I love. The photo isn't the best, I'm sorry.

Our new sponsor for this month is

With this fabulous prize ~

ATCAS #12 - Rainbow

Well our code word over at ATCAS this challenge should put a smile on your face! I LOVE rainbows!

Christine is your host for this challenge and I loved it when she chose this word.

Here is my DT card -

I have used an image from our sponsor over at Clear Dollar Stamps called 'Happy Rainbow'. I have paper pieced the image and then used a sentiment from my Sunny Days stamp set.

The paper I have used are from some Cricut paper pads that I had laying around. They are very bright and very fun. I used a small circle punch to cut the corners off my panel and bottom of the base.

Now, head on over to the challenge blog where you will find awesome inspiration from the ladies on the DT.

Thanks so much for looking xx

CAS - Colours and Sketches Challenge #23

Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge over at CAS - Colours and Sketches.

This week is a colour challenge -

It is a great combination!! You don't have to use Stampin' Up colours, just the closest colours that you have in your stash.

Here is my DT card -

I have used Crumb cake and Whisper White cardstock.

Using my markers directly on the stamp, I have inked the image. I don't have Midnight Muse so I had to settle for Pacific Point.

I have also popped it all up using dimensionals.

We hope that you will join us over at the challenge where you can also check out the wonderful inspiration by the rest of the Design Team.

Thanks so much for looking xx

Inspired by Stamping - WHW #98

Over at Inspired by Stamping is a Technique by Colleen that is just gorgeous.

Colleen created a box topper. It is soooo pretty. I decided that this little topper would be perfect for a Mothers Day card.

I have used a carnation and sentiment from Inspired by Stamping. I was really under the pump to make this card as I realised I only had half an hour to create it, photograph it and post it. Argghhhh! Why do I do this to myself?

My scallop and circle dies were used for the topper.

I would also like to enter this into the new challenge over at

Cuttlebug Mania - One for Mum

Thanks Colleen for a wonderful tutorial!!

Thanks so much for looking xx

ATSM Challenge #43 - Addicted to Colours

Hi there and welcome to my blog.

I have a DT card to share with you today that has been created using the colour inspiration for our current challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

For reference, we have used Stampin' Up colours but you can use whatever you have in your stash. You also may use any neutrals that you like!

Here is my DT card -

This card is a little different for me but I was inspired to buy this brick wall embossing folder when I saw it on Loll's blog. I don't have a lot of ink pads so I used my Sahara Sand marker to colour one side of the embossing folder to give it that extra brick look.

The base card, embossed panel and window (die) have all been created by using my Natural White cardstock. I have used lace for curtains. The flowers were created by stamping and punching out heaps of flowers from my Itty Bitty set. The sentiment is from my Petite Pairs set.

The only thing I don't like about this card is the Very Vanilla cardstock that I have used behind the window. Actually it's not that I used Very Vanilla but it just looks so... blah.... I wanted to create the panel to look like a blind that had been pulled down. Perhaps I needed to score it or give it some texture (aha!!). Why didn't I think of that before???

The main thing I wanted to create was the look of flowers climbing the stone wall. I hope I pulled it off.

Anyway, we have a wonderful sponsor for you this week -

Whoopsi Daisy

I hope you will join us this week - check out the other ladies from the DT for their amazing inspiration!!
