Less is More #444 - Lucky Dip

 Hello and Happy Saturday! We have a brand new challenge starting today.

I have many favourite techniques and it was actually hard to narrow down to just one. I decided to showcase a couple of ways to use 'Emboss Resist'.

Card #1

For this card, I used a background stamp by CAS-ual Fridays and heat embossed it with white powder. I then used distress ink and a blending brush all over the panel. I cut it into two and inserted my sentiment which was white embossed as well. The entire panel was adhered to a larger panel which I then popped up with foam tape.

Card #2

For this card, I used another background stamp and white embossed it on to white card. I used a couple of distress ink colours to blend over the top. Then I used dies to cut out my butterflies. They are popped up with foam tape.

Shake your Tail Feathers! [Magic Picture Changer]

 Hi there!

While playing around with my new stamps and dies, I created a Magic Picture Changer card for my niece who is turning 8 next month. 

I used the Peacock Before 'n Afters and Birthday Before 'n Afters (new to me sets) to create my cute peacock birthday scene. 

I love when the tab is pulled how the peacock has his proud feathers out for all to see :)

All stamps and dies are by Lawn Fawn - 'Cloudy Stencil', 'Grassy Border Die', and 'Extra Sentiment Banners'. I also used the Magic Picture Changer Add-on for the larger frame. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from LF 'Hay There'.

Magic Picture Changer

 The Lawn Fawn magic picture changer die has been around for some time, but I have only just added it to my stash. I've loved making interactive cards for years and any die set that will help me create them easier, I have to have!

I started with a fairly basic scene for my first time making this card. I stamped the dog then created a mask so I could stamp the fireplace and rug 'behind' him. The trick was stamping it a second time and trying to get the colouring somewhat similar.

I also used the Magic Picture Changer Add-on (the rectangle die) to frame my scene.

When you pull the tab, it is revealed that on the night before Christmas, the dog is dreaming about a yummy bone!

I had some spare presents that I had already coloured to add. The sentiment was heat embossed and die cut using LF Extra Sentiment Banners.

All stamps (except the previously coloured presents) are from the LF Christmas Dreams set.

The base of my card is a panel I had previously created with brusho and mica powders.

Less is More #443 - Sketch

 Hello and happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge over at Less is More and we have a fun sketch for you.

I went quite literal with the sketch. I kept the shapes and layout.

I've used this set by Stampin' Up! called 'Pampered Pets' a few times, unfortunately. I mean, I love the set but it's been used mainly for friends who have lost their fur babies :( 

I coloured this puppy using polychromo pencils and did a 'rough' job to add a bit of texture.

Penny Black Midway Reminder

 Hello! It's our halfway reminder of the current challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Blog.

Our theme is Anything Goes with the option of Clean and Simple.

For this card I stamped the image from the "Micey Day" set and coloured it with polychromo pencils. I used a stitched tag die and a rectangle die for interest and even added some baker's twine as an embellishment to the tag. I feel I was still able to keep my card within our optional theme of clean and simple.

Less is More # 442 - Sea Creatures

 Hi and Happy Saturday. It's time for a new challenge over at Less is More. We have a fun theme for you to play along with over the next 2 weeks.

Card #1

I created a background using a few different papers. I adhered them onto a piece of card then die cut it down using a stitched rectangle die. This cute whale is from a set by CTMH called Animal Greetings: Operation Smile. The sentiment is from a HLS set.

Card #2

I used distress ink to create my water panels then die cut them using Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I stamped, coloured, and die cut the octopus and present and popped them 'into' the water. The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments set. This card is for my Grandson.

Mother's Day Mama Bear

 Hello! Today I am sharing the card that I have made for my Mum. The 9th of May is Mother's Day here in Australia.
