Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for a new monthly challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

Our theme is -

Anything Goes + optional: Winter Wonderland

The stamp I used is an old wood mounted Penny Black one called Ice Dance.
Once I had stamped this happy fella and coloured him with my polychromo pencils, I created a mask. Once masked I used some distress ink to create a little background colour. With the mask still in place, I used a stencil and glitter paste to create the Winter Wonderland.

Here is a close up of  my ice skating pup.

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor:
Prize - $20 voucher!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Lost Coast Designs (Winter Blues), Through the Purple Haze (Holiday - make it Blue), Crimbo Crackers (Anything Goes), Winter Wonderland (Anything Goes), CAS on Fridays (Snow)

Thanks for popping in and have fun with the challenge!

Final Christmas Cards

Hi! Today I spent some time finishing up my Christmas Cards. I have written on them, sealed the envelopes with a kiss, and added the stamps :) Yay!

My final cards that I have made involved a lot of sparkle -

Card #1
I have stamped the sentiment and deer with gold ink and die cut the trees in gold mirror and silver glitter card. I even mounted the whole scene on gold mirror :)
All these goodies are from the SU! Carols of Christmas set.

Card #2
This card was fun and easy to create. I die cut some foliage, added some glitter berries then die cut  a couple of frames - one from white and one from gold mirror. I like how the frame includes the embossed line when die cut.
The sentiment is from a Mama Elephant set called Seasons Wishes.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Cut it Up (Christmas), Just Add Ink (Something starting with S: Snowy Scene), ABC Christmas (W for Winter Wonderland), Try it on Tuesdays (Winter Wonderland)
Card #2 - Creative Knockouts Challenge (Christmas), Cute Card Thursday (Silver or Gold), Watercooler Wednesdays (All Occasions) Double Trouble (Tic Tac Toe: Dies | Free | Embossing + Noticeable Sentiment)

Thank you for popping in today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Coffee for a Friend

 Hello!

A friend at work has had a tough few weeks. Her two sons aged 20 and 16 were involved in a head on collision. Thankfully all involved walked away from the accident but it shook her to the core.

I decided to create a card to give her with her morning coffee.

I have used stamps and dies by CAS-ual Fridays (Cup of Coffee & Coffee Talk). I also used a stencil by Memory Box called Rings & Puddles and a texture stamp from HLS Mixed Media (can be purchased here).
I die cut the coffee cup twice - once with white card and once with patterned paper. I glued them together so it was more sturdy. I did the same with the die cut coffee word.

I was inspired by a card I found HERE

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -

Card #2
Once again, I've stamped my images and coloured them but this time I created a mask for Santa and the reindeer, then used distress ink to create the background. I flicked water and mopped it up with paper towel to create the texture.

Less is More #432 - Colour Challenge

Hi there and welcome to Saturday which means a new challenge over at Less is More.
We have a colour challenge for you -

I obviously love making Christmas cards and these colours were perfect for me!

I have made a few cards to help inspire you -

Card #1
This card is very simply made. A die cut sentiment with silver mirror card, a few stamped snowflakes, then sequins to finish it off.
(the snowflakes are from a CAS-ual Friday set called Sugar Plum Fairy)

Card #2
Once again, a die cut sentiment (this time covered with a clear sparkle pen), a small stamped sentiment, then plenty of sequins :)

Card #3
I created a watercolour panel using brushos and mica powder. I used the ink smooshing technique which produced a beautiful piece. Then I die cut the letters out, popped them up with foam tape, stamped the sentiment, and added yep you guessed it sequins :)

Where is the gold. In different light, the gold mica powder makes an appearance and looks beautiful!

Card #4
Using my left over red and gold brusho panel, I created a small panel, die cut the sentiment with gold mirror card and stamped my sentiment. No sequins this time!

Here's a closer look at that gold mica mixed in with the brushos.

CASE me a Christmas Card

Hello everyone! Today I joining Michelle Lupton with her annual Christmas card Challenge. This year Michelle has change it up a bit where instead of each designer giving her a theme for our cards, we are CASEing each other.

I didn't have to choose a Christmas card to CASE but in this instance I have :)

I used the reindeers from a Mama Elephant set, coloured them with my polychromo pencils, then die cut them out.
I die cut some small stitched squares then popped up the images with some foam tape. I used a chalk marker to create the background snow.

Here is Michelle's card -

Thanks for having me again this year, Michelle! You can check out which card of mine Michelle has CASEd HERE.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -

I had a very quiet Sunday in my craft room and created this reveal wheel card.

As the wheel is turned, the sentiment changes :)

Cloudy Backgrounds

Hello! I have two Christmas cards to share with you today :)

I have once again used my new cloudy stencil from Lawn Fawn. I created with two completely different colours and just loved the effect!

Card #1
I wanted to create a night time sky which wasn't too dark. I used London Fog ink which worked really well.
I stamped then coloured the images (Lawn Fawn Ho-Ho-Holidays and Tiny Christmas) with my polychromos. I arranged them slightly off the edges to create 'movement'.

Card #2
I decided a slimline card was in order. This time I created a soft pink background using the cloudy stencil. These gorgeous mice are from Lawn Fawn Mice on Ice and the trees are from Winter Village. I originally had green trees but swapped them out for these pink ones :)

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges
Card #1 - ABC Christmas Challenge (V is for Vixen - Reindeer), STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge (Anything Goes), Christmas Crafts all year round - No Tricks, Just Treats), Crimbo Crackers (Anything Christmas Goes)
Card #2 - Merry Little Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes), Creations in Pink (Anything Goes), Crafter's Cafe (Use some Pink), Jingle Belles (Not a creature was stirring)

Thanks for popping in today xx

Less is More #431 - Recipe

It's Saturday, yay! We have a new challenge for you over at Less is More :)

I have made two cards using the same die cuts but just a slightly different layout. I die cut a heap of leaves (by Impression Obsession) using different card - normal cardstock, vellum, and mirror card. I created different arrangements for each card.

Card #1
The sentiment on this card is by Happy Little Stampers and called Especially for You. It can be purchased HERE. The scalloped rectangle is by Lawn Fawn.

Card #2
The sentiment on this one is from the Happy Little Stampers set called Mix Mash and you can purchase it HERE

Card #3
This card has been made using a Kaisercraft set called Paradise Found. I've stamped in grey ink and added the pink for a pop of colour.

Halloween & Christmas

I have a couple of fun cards to share with you today :)

Card #1
This is a new to my stash - Flight of Fancy by Stampin' Up!. I was completely inspired by the photo in the SU! catalogue showing off this set.
I created a mask for my moon and used distress inks to create the background. I flicked water over the panel and pressed down with some paper towel to create the texture. I also mixed some gold mica powder with water and flicked it on with a paint brush.
I coloured the image with polychromo pencils and fussy cut her out. She is popped up with foam tape.

The first photo doesn't show the shine of the mica powder. This photo isn't much good either but I hope you can see a bit of the shine :) The sentiment is from Lawn Fawns Spooky Village set.

Card #2
Another newbie to my stash. I bought the Cloudy Stencil by Lawn Fawn. Seriously, when I removed the stencil, the satisfaction of seeing the clouds was amazing! Remember the old days when you used to cut out a stencil? Not anymore, I LOVE this stencil.
I already had the Car Critters set by Lawn Fawn but decided to get the Christmas Add ons - they are adorable. The Santa is from the Tiny Christmas set.
I created the sentiment using words from the Ho-Ho-Holidays set. I wanted to include 'magic' in the sentiment as I had replaced Santa's sleigh with a flying car :)

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Craft Rocket Challenges - Add Sparkle, Try it on Tuesdays (Halloween), Unicorn Challenges (Spooky or Cute), Mix it Up Challenge Blog (Distressing - Ink), Two Old Bats (Halloween)
Card #2 - Cute Card Thursday (Stamping), Fab 'n' Funky (Christmas), Ikes World (V is for Vehicles), Creative Sketchy Girls (Christmas)

As I have used a heap of NBUS, both cards will be linked up over at Darnell's blog.
