ATSM Bingo Challenge #4

Whoops! I am only 3 hours late with my post..... That's because with everything I was doing, I actually forgot about my own!

I will keep it nice and short. We have a Bingo challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More! Follow a line on the card either horizontal, diagonal or vertical and use those elements on your project.

Here is my card using Dies / Silver / White

I've used my Layered Poinsettia dies (again!) and sponged the edges of the leaves with Certainly Celery. I have popped an antique brad in the middle. I have embossed the Whisper White panel with my Fancy Fan folder and the sentiment is from my petite pairs which was embossed with silver powder.

Check out the other DT cards - just amazing!!

Don't forget on the 17th November we have the launch of our baby sister blog - Addicted to CAS!

IBSIC #32 - Photo Inspiration and Blog Candy

Good afternoon. After a very busy morning I have finally been able to create my card for the latest challenge over at Inspired by Stamping. The ladies over there VERY inspirational. You should check it out!

I am really happy with how this turned out. I really do like blue on a Christmas card.

Here is my card -

I ripped open my new First Edition paper for this one! I have again used my Layered Poinsettia because it is just so nice. This time I have used Brushed Gold cardstock and then added pearls to the centre.
A quick tip - I use the stylus from my Simply Scored to shape the petals.
My Framelits Label Dies came in handy again and I used my Fancy Fan embossing folder on the Very Vanilla panel. I have inked around it with Marina Mist using a sponge.
I have added silver ribbon and then topped it with Whisper White ribbon and then created a hodge podge bow and added an antique brad.

Here is the inspiration photo -

CCM Challenge #79 - Shaped Card with a Reindeer or two

It's that time again over at Crafty Cardmakers where there is a brand new challenge going on.

This week is hosted by the lovely Tracey who would like to see you create a shaped card. The twist? It must FEATURE a reindeer or two or three or four.....

I've used an older Stampin' Up set called Holiday Lineup. These reindeer just make me giggle. I love their expressions and the one in the middle - he's just up to something isn't he?? I coloured them in with my Stampin' Write markers and then cut them out (never again!!). Red stickles have been added to 'Naughty Rudolph' for his nose.
I used my Framelit Label dies to create the card and then layering the smaller dies on top. I have embossed the red panel with my Snowflakes folder.
I have created the bow out of cardstock and wrapped ribbon around the centre.

Here is my card -

This week we have a two wonderful sponsors!!

They are offering our winner a £10 voucher for their store

Ornament Keepsake Non-Traditional Colours

Good morning everyone! Well, it's an overcast day here today. I've done my duties with the dog, cat and chickens and believe today must be the perfect day to 'play' inside.

Today I have made a card with my new Ornament Keepsake Bundle which includes the stamps and the Holiday Ornament dies. I decided I wanted to have pink on this card. Dunno why.... but I did lol.

Here is my card -

The challenge over at Christmas Stampin' all Year Long is to use circles on your project. I have chosen two pieces of DSP from my Festival of Prints stack that had circles and then chose the two circular ornaments from the stamp set. I don't think you can see it very well, but the Whisper White panel has been embossed with Perefect Polka Dots - so, MORE circles!! I have coloured the stamps directly with my markers so I could get the different colour effect. The ornaments have been popped up on dimensionals.

The crew over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown require you to use your dies this week. The Merry Christmas circle is actually from my Delightful Decorations stamp set and then cut out with a Spellbinders circle die.

Finally but not least, the lovely gals over at Christmas Card Challenges require you to 'Pop it Up'.

Thanks so much for looking and I hope you had a wonderful weekend! xx

The Paper Players #118 - Framed Challenge

Just another quick post for me today.
I have just received some Crumb Cake cardstock and I think it is the perfect colour to create CAS cards. Over at The Paper Players, they would like you to create your project using a Frame.

I have used my ornament punch directly onto the Crumb Cake cardstock (this acted as my frame) and then used Very Vanilla on the underside to stamp my ornament onto. I placed the stamp using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.
A pretty blue bow to finish off. I have stamped the ornament with a Not Quite Navy Marker.

Here is my card -

Pop over and take a look at the awesome inspiration provided by the Design Team

Thanks so much for looking xx

Friday Mashup

This is my first go at this challenge and I really enjoyed it.
The girls over at Friday Mashup want to see a Christmas Card with an ornament or with some sparkle OR mash it up and do both.

Well, of course I did both.

I just bought the new Ornament Keepsakes bundle. Wow, how cool is it? I have used some DSP from my Festival of Prints stack.
The ornaments have been embossed with my new Cherry Cobbler EP and Gold EP.

Here is my card -

It is pretty sparkly in real life but not so much in the photo :(

Layered Poinsettia

Hi again! I have just acquired a beautiful die set from Spellbinders. It's called 'Layered Poinsettia'. They are really nice and make for fantastic christmas card decorations.

I wanted to keep the Poinsettia's the main focus so I have simply embossed a panel of Very Vanilla with my Swiss dots folder and inked the sentiment (from Sassy Salutations) in Old Olive.

I have highlighted the Poinsettia's with a gelly roll pen, which is also new. It was a nice little surprise addition when I opened my parcel!!

Here is my card

I would like to enter the following challenges -

Addicted to Making a Mark

Hi there everyone. It's a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More!
This week it is "Make your Mark".

You can create ANYTHING as long as you use your markers.

My card this week is for my neice who turns 9 on the 1st of November. She is very much into dancing so I thought this digi from Mo's Digital Pencil was very cute.

I have printed her onto blender paper and coloured her using my Stampin' Write Markers. I have added some diamond stickles to the bottom of her tutu to add some bling.

I think she is very cute!!

Before I go, I would like to announce that I am in the process of creating a new challenge blog -

Pop over and join up as a follower. There will be some blog candy to give away very soon so you wont want to miss out!!

Fairy Lights

Hi there, over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown the challenge is to use fairy lights on your card this week. I didn't really have anything useful and my imagination had run out of steam to try and even create some fairy lights myself. So, off I went to look for some digi stamps.

I ended up at Mo's Digital Pencil. What an amazing artist she is. There are some really beautiful designs over there. I decided on a digi called Ho Ho Whoa.

This really reminds me of us (well, Dad) at Christmas getting all the decorations out and stacks of lights to put up around the house. The only difference being that we wouldn't be wearing Ugg boots and a jumper. Way too hot for that here at Christmas. We have the air-con going and end up in the pool or at the beach.

Here is my card -

I have printed Mr Ho Ho Whoa onto Blender paper and then simply used my Stampin' Write markers to colour him in. The sentiment is from my Petite Pairs set.

I would also like to enter this card into the challenge over at
Totally Paper Craft where the challenge is Christmas - 9 weeks and counting

Driving by with a Birthday Hi!

Melissa over at Tuesday Morning Sketches has a special month long challenge.

Melissa's sister is a breast cancer survivor and it's her 50th birthday!

Here's what Melissa says -

Today, my sister Theresa turns 50!  So we're having a virtual birthday party to celebrate her.  But we have more to celebrate because she's also turning 5.  5 years ago Theresa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  So we're excited that she's now cancer free - she is a SURVIVOR!
So to celebrate this occasion, we are having a special month long challenge.  Here are the specifications:
  • You need to create a card or project that is Pink and Birthday themed and link it (directly) below
  • This isn't a blog hop, it's a party, so please mingle with your hostesses.  In other words, visit the hostesses blogs at your leisure and leave them some love.  There's no particular order that you have to follow.
  • You must stop by the birthday girl's blog and leave her a message.  You might want to anyway, because I hear she's got a prize there.

So, I couldn't resist but try and make a card for this special occasion. Special love and hugs to Theresa!!

Here is my card -

This card is a little different for me. I decided I wanted to try and create a nice big bow for this card. I cut strips of the ribbon and made them into circles. I used glossy accents to get it all to stay together and added a button with Whisper White Baker's Twine for good measure.

The pink ute is the truck from my Loads of Love set, stamped onto Blender Paper and coloured with Stampin' Write markers. The dies are the Framelits Labels collection. The gorgeous flowers are from Inspired by Stamping.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THERESA AND HERE'S TO YOUR GOOD HEALTH!!

Thanks for looking xx

Traditional Christmas Colours

Hi there, how has your week been?

Today I have created a card for three challenges.

Here is my card -

I have started with using the Chevron DSP from my Festival of Prints stack. I haven't really photographed this well because my Very Vanilla cardstock looks very Whisper White to me! lol.
The snowflakes dies have been covered with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
The sentiment has been stamped in Real Red and is from my Loads of Love set.
I created the bow using some of the DSP and then wrapping red ribbon around the centre.

Here is the Sketch that I followed -

Triple Time Stamping x 3

This SHOULD be my last post today lol. I haven't been able to help myself today.
Danielle inspired me so much with her Christmas Card using the Triple Time Stamping Technique that I just had to give it a go. I think I'm a little addicted to it.....
I have made three cards. The first one is for my grandfather's birthday this month. Today I got a parcel of goodies which included this awesome stamp set - The Open Sea. It is just beautiful and will be very versatile. I love the variety of stamps and they worked so well together when using them to create a background. The sentiment is from my Petite Pairs set which has been stamped with Chocolate Chip.

For the stamping, I have used the following markers directly onto the stamps - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip.

I would like to enter this card into the challenge over at Simply Stampin' where you need to create your own background.

My next card will be for one of my son's teachers. He finishes school in a few weeks and I wanted to show my appreciation to his educators. Here I have used one of the stamps from my Elements of Style set in Sahara sand and then stamped the butterflies in Old Olive and Night of Navy. The ribbon is another new acquistion - Summer Starfruit.

My last card has been stamped with the same stamp from the Elements of Style set, again in Sahara Sand. I then used my Reason to Smile set in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. The sentiment is from my Sassy Salutations set

I really enjoyed using this technique. It is so easy and very effective. The sky is the limit, I reckon!!

Guest Designer - Halloween Card

Happy Thursday everyone!

I am lucky enough to be a Guest Designer over at Inspired By Stamping this week. The theme is Halloween and there is an inspiration photo for you to have a look at.

IBSIC #31.jpg

Your project needs to incorporate the colours - Black, Orange and White/Cream.

Here is my card -

I have used the IBS Pumpkin Faces set. Aren't they just hilarious! I love the eyes and the different types of toothy grins you can give them. Don't you just love those lucious eyelashes!! (They have been highlighted with some Black Stickles but you can't really see it).

I have embossed the Pumpkin Pie panels with my Lattice folder to add a little texture.
I made a mask for the pumpkin stamps with a post-it note so I could place them together. I coloured them in with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write marker. Both the line up of toothy pumpkins and the sentiment were fussy cut.

I hope you join in the fun over at Inspired By Stamping. They are a good bunch of crafty chicks!

Thanks for looking xx

Tuesday Morning Sketches - #168

Here is my second Christmas Card for today. This time I grabbed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches to have a play with.
I have used my Festival of Prints stack again. Love it! As usual, I have embossed something lol. I used my Christmas script folder this time. The Christmas Stocking stamps are from my Jolly Bingo Set which have been inked with Marina Mist. I received some goodies in the post today so I have also used my Bakers Twine in Whisper White and Satin Stitched ribbon in Midnight Muse.
Here is my card -

Here is the sketch -

I actually didn't add a sentiment on purpose ;)

Thanks for looking xx

Try Stampin On Tuesdays - Challenge 88

Hi there! I have decided I am going to get cracking with my Christmas Cards. I have quite a few already but I now have some really pretty papers and accessories from Stampin' Up! that I can really try and create some lovely cards.
I loved the sketch that was over at Try Stampin on Tuesday. As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Here is my card -

I have rotated the sketch.

I started with a Very Vanilla base. All the patterned papers are from my Festival of Prints stack. I love this stack! I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with my Snowflakes folder. The stamps are from my Delightful Decorations set. The ornament is stamped in Real Red and the sentiment in Pacific Point. I have used the co-ordinating punch for the ornament.

I then made a bow out of some scraps and finished off with a button.

Here is the sketch -

Addicted to Stamps and More! - Sketch Challenge #3

Goodmorning, Good afternoon or Good evening!! :)
I hope my post finds you well. It's sketch time this week over at ATS&M!
It's pretty straightforward but the DT have come up with some not so straight forward creations. They are really amazing.
I'm nearly embarresed to show mine as I feel it's a little 'simple' compared to my awesome ladies over there. They really made this sketch come alive. Pop over and you will see what I mean :)
Here is the sketch and my card -
I have used my Pedal Presents set and coloured in with Stampin' Write markers. I really liked the colour combination - Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point mounted onto Whisper White.
Head on over to ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE! and check out what the gals came up with. You WONT be disappointed!!!!

CCM Challenge #77 - Autumn or Autumn Festivals

We are back again with another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

(Not Halloween!!!!)

This challenge is hosted by Josephine. This is what she would like to see -

"Something that depicts the Season of Autumn, or maybe Harvest Festival, Guy Fawkes, Diwali or some other festival that happens in the Autumn. If your theme is a lesser-known festival, please tell us about it in your post! But remember, this is not a Hallowe'en challenge".

Having said that, here is my card -

We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia (although the kids these days tend to Trick 'n Treat more and more). We would have Bonfire Night but with all the bans on Firecrackers etc now, that doesn't happen much anymore.. We are also currently into our Spring here so it is a bit weird doing the Autumn stuff, but it's also fun at the same time to do something different!

I have used my "Loads of Love" set directly onto Blender Paper and coloured with Stampin' Write Markers. Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I was able to place lots of pumpkins in corner that could be loaded onto the Ute. I have sponged the background.

Last Card for the Inkspirational DT call

Now, Mynnette, I did this card last because it kind of scared me lol. I had NO idea what to do with this one. I hopped onto the internet and found a pic of an owl that I liked and went with the flow. I hope you like the cards I have created. I certainly have my fingers crossed :)
Ok, the next challenge for Mynnette's DT call was an Inspiration Photo.
And here is my card -

I started by using Basic Black cardstock for my base card. I found a pad of DP that was perfect for this challenge and decided to use one with grey and a flourish.
The owl, I found on the internet and printed him/her onto blender paper. I coloured it in pretty hard with my Basic Grey Stampin' Write marker and then sponged Whisper White ink all over.
When it came to adding some red, I decided to add little blobs of stickles over the flourish.
I created the sentiment and printed it onto blender paper and sponged it with Basic Black and Whisper White. The little gems in the corner added a little more red. I also added Yellow stickles to his/her eyes.

I wasn't too displeased with the outcome. In real life, the shadows are more obvious and it sparkles a little more than in the photo.

Thanks so much for looking! xx

52CC Throwdown Colour Challenge

Me again ;) I just couldn't help myself today and seemed to be in a bit of a zone so I decided to take FULL advantage lol.
I have created a card for the challenge over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. It is a colour challenge and you need to use Green, Brown, Cream and Metallic Gold.
I have started with Very Vanilla as my basecard and then added a panel of Brushed Gold. The DSP is from my Festival of Prints stack.
I have used a stamp from my Delightful Decorations set. I have stamped with Versamark and then used clear embossing powder over the top. The sentiment is from my Sassy Salutations set which was also inked with Versamark and I then used Gold embossing powder. A little gold bow finished off the ornament.
Here is my card -

I'm not sure if the embossing shows too well. The daylight is fading fast and I had to get my skates on for this one!

CAS-usal Fridays - CFC74: Put your heart into it

I know, another CAS card! I guess I am a little addicted to them right now.
The theme over at CAS-ual Fridays is to use a heart.
I have used the part of the embossing folder (can't remember its name off the top of my head) that is the negative part of the folder. It creates a really beautiful heart. The centre is even embossed but its a little hard to see in the photo.

I have stamped the sentiment in Real Red. Its from my Sassy Salutations set.

Less is More & CAS(E) this Sketch

After lots of gardening this morning, I decided I just had to have a break to do some craft lol. Any excuse will do, huh? Well that's my opinion anyway ;)
Over at Less is More the challenge is to create a One Layer Card and the theme is "Wings".
I really, really liked the sketch that I had followed for my previous card over at CAS(E) this Sketch, so I decided to enter another card.

The butterflys are from Hero Arts which I have inked by using my Stampin' Write markers directly onto the stamp. The colours are Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point. I have added some ribbon to border them. The sentiment is from my Petite Pairs stamp set.

Thanks for looking!!

CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #1

I saw Sue's GORGEOUS entries for a new challenge going on and I wanted to join in the fun. This blog is all about following the Sketch provided and CASEing it with a CAS style. Easy, huh? Maybe for some, lol. CAS isn't the most favourite of themes for most people but I really do like it. I don't think I 'pull it off' everytime but I am joining more and more CAS challenges to find inspiration.
I have started with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it down to create a square card.  I have used my Simply Scored to create the score lines. I chose a stamp out my Jolly Bingo Bits set and decided to stamp in Basic Black and Real Red. The sentiment is from my Petite Pairs set.
Here is my card -

This is the sketch -

Follow the link to CAS(E) this Sketch! to join in the fun.

I was really happy with this card in the end. I have never made a CAS christmas card and I think I will be making some more!

IBSIC #30 - Sketch Challenge

It's nearly Saturday! Yay!
I have created a card for the latest sketch challenge over at Inspired By Stamping.

I have embossed the background with Vintage Wallpaper. The two smaller panels have been embosed with Perfect Polka Dots. I have used a doily die that I really should use more often! The sentiment and flowers are from IBS. I have used a double layer of lace at the bottom.

Here is the sketch which I have played around a bit with :)

Inkspirational DT call - Card #3

Well, the weather decided to do a 360 today. It's blowing a gale and started to rain. I believe we have some severe storm warnings for the next 48 hours too. Time to batten down the hatches??

Here is the 3rd card I have made for the DT call over at Mynettes for her new challenge blog called Inkspirational.

This was a colour challenge.

Please don't look too closely lol. I slipped a little when stamping the sentiment and it's a bit wonky (just like me) :)

I really like using embossing folders to create different textures etc. Just gives those big bland areas a bit of oomph.

Here is the colour challenge that Mynette provided

Addicted to Stamps and More! - CAS Challenge #3

Well, hello there :)
Are you ready for another challenge? Over at Addicted to Stamps and More! it is time to come up with something that is Clean and Simple.
I was determined to really try and get these rosettes that you can make on your Simply Scored right. I made one with some very old DP that I found in my stash but it was really quite cute. I added a small circle of Always Artichoke cardstock and used a brad out of my game spinners set.
I added some lace under the rosette and popped onto an Swiss Dots embossed piece of cardstock that has been double mounted with Stampin' dimensionals.
Pop over and check out what the DT have come up with and get out your CAS thinking caps!

Happy Birthday - Matching Gift Box

Hi there! Hope you are all well.
I have a 30th Birthday to go to on the weekend and sat down to make a card. I then decided that I would use a card I had already made and make up a matching gift box for it.
I decided on the card that I had made for the latest sketch challenge at Inspired By Stamping.
Here is the gift box -

I have colour co-ordinated with the card (of course). Using Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke as my mains. I have used the sentiment out of the Elements of Style set and inked it with Old Olive. I have placed a pearl either side of the sentiment
I embossed the Very Vanilla panel on the lid with Vintage Wallpaper.

The flowers and wider lace are from Inspired by Stamping.
Here is the card that it is going with -

Here's hoping she likes it!

I would like to enter my gift box into the following challenges -
