ATSM - Make Your Mark

Hello! This week at Addicted to Stamps and More the challenge is to Make Your Mark. This means that you need to use pens, pencils, markers, chalks etc when you create.

I decided to use my Zig Watercolour Markers for my card.

I have used an Altenew stamp set and die cut the sentiment (from STAMPlorations) from gold foam.

When watercolouring with Zigs, I tend to always give it an overlay of clear wink of stella glitter. It really gives the watercolour extra depth!

I hope to see you playing along - this is one of our most popular weekly challenges. It's so much fun to colour in!

Thanks for popping in xx

Oldie but a Goodie

Hi everyone! Time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational where Nonni would like you to look through your stash and find one of the first stamps you started stamping with to create something.

I have destashed a LOT of my stamps. When I started crafting, I was using mainly Stampin' Up products among others. When I started Happy Little Stampers, I started selling off a lot of my stamps. I did keep quite a few sets, though. So, my stamp set isn't one of the original ones that I have used but it is one of the ones that I have had in my collection the longest.

This is a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Life is Good. I used my MISTI to stamp all my images onto watercolour paper. I embossed them with black powder. They were all coloured with my Zig Watercolour Markers and die cut out with their coordinating dies.

The sentiment is from HLS Mix Mash.

I added some wink of stella to the sand castle and bucket. I hope you can see it in the photo below.

This was really fun to make and was certainly a blast from the past :)

I can't wait to see your blast from the past so don't forget to play along over the next two weeks :)

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Crafty Gals Corner - Punches and/or Dies
Crafty Cardmakers - Under the sea or at the beach
Make My Monday - Lazy days of summer

Ta Ta for now.

I'm Back at ATSM!

Hi everyone! Today is pretty exciting because I am back on the team at Addicted to Stamps and More. Most of you know that I started ATSM just over 5 years ago which was only about a month or so after I started blogging. I've never looked back and the challenge blog is still going strong. I took some time away from ATSM when I launched Happy Little Stampers but now things have settled down a little, I'm ready to jump back in.

For this weeks challenge, we have a photo to inspire you.

You can take whatever inspiration you like from the photo. I tried to recreate the look using dies and brushos.

I simply die cut some pieces of watercolour paper using a border die.

I smooshed the panels into Brusho (Purple and Ultramarine) to recreate the colour scheme.
I die cut the 'happy' and white embossed the 'birthday' (from HLS Everyday Sentiments).

I hope you join us for this awesome challenge this week over at ATSM.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Inky Chicks - Use a sentiment instead of an image
Connie can crop - Watercolours
Die Cut Divas - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in today and I hope to see you over at the challenge blog.

Waving over at Inkspirational

Hello! Time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. We have a word theme for you this fortnight and to me it can be interpreted in different ways and I captured two different meanings on my cards.

I created waves using my Zig Watercolour Markers and blended out the colour using a water pen. I used a white gel pen for highlights. I used the hello sentiment because I associated waving when saying hi :)

I liked the design of this card so I decided to create another one in different colours.

I hope you will join us over at Inkspirational!

I would like to enter my card/s into the following challenges

Pause Dream Enjoy - Beach/Ocean (my blue card)
Eclectic Ellapu - Anything Goes (my pink card)
Nordsalten Hobbyklubb - Blue (my blue card)

Thanks for popping by :)

HLS August ATC Challenge

Hi there everyone. Time for a new ATC challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

I decided to really doodle on my ATCs. I sprayed a piece of Watercolour paper with some distress ink sprays. Once it was dry, I used a copic marker, a sharpie marker, and a white gel pen to create my doodles.

This was very therapuetic!

I hope to see over at the challenge with your doodled ATCs.

With Love from 27.6705S, 153.3831E

Just a quick post from me today.

I've made what will look like a quick and easy card... omg, it wasn't! Between the stamping and trying to print onto either the vellum or cardstock in the right place.... I just couldn't get it right. But, I finally came up with something!

I have no idea where this stamp came from or who it is by but I cut it up a bit because some it just wouldn't stamp properly. I just decided it worked well for the purpose I wanted it for :)

The coordinates have been printed onto vellum - if you follow them you will end up at the island where I live!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

Timeout - Home sweet Home

Aud Sentiments - No sentiment

Thanks for popping in today xx

You may remember a tutorial I created showing you how to use your mica powders to watercolour? I used Pearl Ex powders to colour in my flowers from the HLS Especially for You set which I had embossed in gold. I die cut my sentiment in a gold mirror cardstock keeping with my gold theme. Watercolouring with these powders give my images a gorgeous shimmer!

HLS August Watercolour Challenge

Hi everyone! Time for a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. The 1st of the month sees our Watercolour Challenge kick off. It is always Anything Goes but we offer an optional theme for you to play along with.

Today I am sharing with you something I have never made before - a mini book. I cut all my pieces out of watercolour paper using the Sizzix Passport Die.

The die allows you to cut your covers, inside pages, and spine to bind it all together.
I used the smooshing technique using Crimson, Orange, and Lemon Brusho colours.

I decided I wanted to create a book just for butterflies.

I used a number of HLS stamps and a couple of stencils with texture paste. I also hand wrote some butterfly quotes.

Once I had all my pages ready and dry, it was time to bind it all together. I used Baker's Twine and added a little butterfly charm.

Here is what the die looks like (it is an XL Bigz Die)

I added a couple of little blooms using a stencil and ink but my main focus was the butterflies.

I hope you will join us over at the challenge blog! Here is a recap of the stamps I used from HLS
