Jingly Christmas Tree

Hi there everyone. Today I made a very quick card (another Christmas one).

I have to say that this looks a LOT better in real life. Photographing the snow on the tree and the ground was a real challenge.

I embossed my HLS Christmas Tree die with Mint Macaroon Powder and then gave the branches the look of fallen snow using 'Sparkle Snow'. While it was still wet, I pressed on my jingle bells.

I hope you can see a bit of the texture and sparkle in this photo. It looks so pretty!

I have used the following HLS products to create this card -

Inkspirational Hello!

Hi everyone, time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational and you will love this one! We want you to say hello!

I made two cards for this one -

I must say that the effect of this card is great BUT I will also say it was the biggest pain in the you know where..... all those little die cut pieces to pop out and some didn't cut quite right, of course! Anyway it was a labour of love and it paid off in the end. I layered a piece of silver glitter cardstock behind the cover die to give it sparkle. My hello was die cut from the same silver cardstock and also from black foam to give it more dimension once adhered together.

This card was probably one of the most easiest you would ever make! Simple black cardstock with a gold glitter foam die cut sentiment. Love it!

Easy peasy for our challenge over at Inkspirational! I know you will have fun with this!

I would also like to enter my cards into the following challenges -

Cards in Envy - Easy as 1, 2, 3 (my black card)
Simon Says Stamp - Shimmer and Shine (my silver card)

Thanks for popping in today xx

Enamel Christmas Trees

Hi everyone! I am in full blown Christmas Card mode right now. When I took stock of what cards I had, I was horrified! Not enough.....

I'm having fun playing with the HLS Christmas Tree dies.

Like my last card HERE (Embossing Powder and Fantasy Snow), I pressed my die cuts into versamark ink, sprinkled WOW! Mint Macaroon Embossing Powder and Shabby White Embossing Enamel over them and heat set them from underneath.

Here you can see the awesome effect that the enamel gives my trees.

A simple die cut sentiemnt in glitter cardstock finished it off.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Connie can Crop - Anything Goes
Paper Creator's Crafts - Simply Christmas
Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Die Cuts and/or Punches
CRAFT Challenges - Christmas

Snowy Christmas

Hello everyone! I managed to create a card over the last two days that I would like to share with you. Why did it take me two days? I had an attack of vertigo today which slowed me down considerably. If you haven't ever had vertigo, it really isn't fun :( Anyway, I am off to bed soon so would like to show you my card -

I have some new goodies to play with that have arrived at the Happy Little Stampers shop. Decorative Snow and Fantasy Snow - how cool!

I can only dream of a White Christmas (it is stinking hot here in Australia at that time of year) and I really love making these sorts of cards.

Last night I did cut my HLS Christmas Tree dies. I pressed each die cut onto my versamark pad, sprinkled WOW! Mint Macaroon powder, then heat set the powder. TIP - I heat set from underneath to start with so there wasn't too much 'fly away' of the embossing powder.

Next came the Fantasy Snow. It has all these chunks and balls of glitter through it and it is really fun to use! I just wanted to add the snow to the branches of the trees so I used a small palette knife. I left them overnight to dry.

Today, I created my layout. The back panel used the Decorative Snow and a stencil to create my snow background. The Decorative Snow has glitter and is so cool!

It is a shame I wasn't able to capture how sparkly this is.

The sentiment is from the HLS Christmas Joy set and I added some HLS Blue Sequins right at the end.

I would like to enter my card into these wonderful challenges -

Sweet Stampin' Christmas - Anything Christmas
Mod Squad Challenge Blog - The Heat is On - Embossing
Christmas Card Challenges - Anything Goes + option (no option for me)
Mixed Media World - Anything Goes

ATSM - Clean and Simple Week

Hi there! It's time for a new weekly challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week we want to see Clean and Simple creations.

I used the HLS Simply Said for this card. The heart was embossed with silver powder then coloured with Zig Watercolours. Once again, I coated it with clear Wink of Stella when it was dry.

I used my MISTI so I could get a nice, crisp result.

These are great guidelines for when you are creating CAS cards.

I hope to see you playing along this week!

HLS September ATC Challenge

Time for a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

We want you to create an ATC using Shapes as your theme.

I have made a set of ATCs for this challenge -

I smooshed brushos into a piece of watercolour paper and then cut my ATCs to size - 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

I coloured some texture paste and used a stencil to create my circles (some white, some coloured). To create my black 'shapes' I used an old drivers licence and dipped the edge into some black paint and then squished it onto the paper. I stamped the sentiments from HLS Mixed Media Fun.

I hope you will play along in this month's ATC challenge!
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

Watercoloured Flowers

Hello again! Just a quick post from me (which is two for me today) as I wanted to share this card that I made using a new stamp by the amazing Deepti Malik
Deepti was one of my designers at Addicted to CAS and Addicted to Stamps and More! and she now has her own stamp line in conjunction with STAMPlorations. I am very proud of her and I couldn't help but add this set (Blossom Sprays #1) to my collection :)

I embossed the image with white powder and then colored it in with my zigs. I covered it all with some WOS for sparkle.

I added some dimensional 'raindrops' by adhering them with drops of glossy accents.
I stamped the sentiment (HLS Doodled Flowers) using my MISTI because I didn't want to take the chance of mucking up my finished card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Craft Rocket Challenges - Something beginning with F
CAS on Sunday - Pencils or Markers
Eclectic Ellapu - Flora and Fauna and or Nature

Thanks for popping in today - ta ta for now xx

Photo at Inkspirational

Hi everyone, today is the start of a brand new challenge over at Inkspirational and we have a photo to help you this fortnight.

Here is the card I decided to make -

I obviously took inspiration from the photo but turned it into a Christmas Card. The background paper is from HLS (Echo Paper World Travel) as is the stamped sentiment (Christmas Joy). The mini die is new to my stash and I've already forgotten who makes it.... I'm tired LOL

Ok! Hope to see you over at Inkspirational to join in with our challenge :)

HLS September CAS Challenge

Hi everyone! Time for a new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. I had a lot of fun with this one and made FOUR cards!

Today is Father's Day here in Australia so Happy Father's Day to all those special men in our lives!

We would like you to use a Silhouette on your creations. You could use stamps, stencils, or dies!

Here are my cards -

Card #1 uses two stamp sets - Wish you were Here and Mixed Media Fun. I used my MISTI to stamp everything at once :)

Card #2 features the London Skyline from the Wish you were Here set. Again I used my MISTI to stamp. I added a strip of black glitter foam for interest.

Card #3 is a simple cat die cut. The sentiment is from the Especially for You set and a strip of glitter foam attached.

Card #4 is another simple die cut using the Moustache Set and then stamped sentiments from the Bold Birthday Sentiments (retired) and Everyday Sentiments

The beauty about clean and simple cards is that they are so quick to create! These four cards took me about 15 minutes all up!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

See you over at Happy Little Stampers!

Guest Designing for Less Is More!

Hi there again! This is my second post for today as I am Guest Designing over at Less Is More this week! Thanks to the girls for having me. Happy Little Stampers is also sponsoring for the month of September so make sure you link up each week for the chance to win a coupon to spend at the shop :)

I had to play with my Brusho Watercolours for this one and I made two cards :)

Card #1

This was created by smooshing Brusho (Prussian Blue and Lime Green) onto glossy cardstock. With a little leftover ink, I did the same on a spare bit of paper and stamped and die cut my butterfly. I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment as you have to be very careful with glossy cardstock that you don't slip everywhere! (The butterfly and sentiment are from the HLS Butterfly Birthday and I used the coordinating dies).

Card #2

I hope you can see the texture on this one... I created another smooshed panel using watercolour paper. I die cut the sentiment out of the middle and then die cut it again using black glitter foam. I inlaid the die cut which is self adhesive.

I then slathered on some Glass Bead Texture Gel. It looks so pretty in real life!

These colours are so beautiful together! I hope you will play along with us! See you there.

HLS September Watercolour Challenge

Well hello there! Welcome to a brand new month! We have our first challenge kicking off over at Happy Little Stampers and it is our -

We want you to make anything you like as long as there are watercolours involved. This month our optional twist is Spritz - get those water misters out and spritz away!! I did on two cards :)

For my first card, I spritzed a little water straight onto my cardstock and then sprinkled Violet Brusho over the water. It made a lovely background!

For my second card, I sprinkled the Brusho first and then spritzed it with water. This colour is Prussian Blue.

I really wanted the backgrounds to be the star so a simple die cut (in glitter foam) was all that was required for these.

Seriously the EASIEST way to create watercolour backgrounds in just seconds!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

I hope to see you over at the challenge blog!
