Hi there again! This is my second post for today as I am Guest Designing over at Less Is More this week! Thanks to the girls for having me. Happy Little Stampers is also sponsoring for the month of September so make sure you link up each week for the chance to win a coupon to spend at the shop :)
I had to play with my Brusho Watercolours for this one and I made two cards :)
Card #1
This was created by smooshing Brusho (Prussian Blue and Lime Green) onto glossy cardstock. With a little leftover ink, I did the same on a spare bit of paper and stamped and die cut my butterfly. I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment as you have to be very careful with glossy cardstock that you don't slip everywhere! (The butterfly and sentiment are from the HLS Butterfly Birthday and I used the coordinating dies).
Card #2
I hope you can see the texture on this one... I created another smooshed panel using watercolour paper. I die cut the sentiment out of the middle and then die cut it again using black glitter foam. I inlaid the die cut which is self adhesive.
I then slathered on some Glass Bead Texture Gel. It looks so pretty in real life!
These colours are so beautiful together! I hope you will play along with us! See you there.
Yummy, scrumptious, eye-poppingly beautiful card Kylie. So much inspiration and thanks for being a superb guest designer and sponsor for us at Less is More
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards Kylie ! I love them both. Love how the Brushos react over glossy paper, I have to try this ! And I love the Glass bead texture on your second one, so beautiful. It looks like bubbles in a gassy drink ! It adds a beautiful glossy dimension. So glad to having you as guest designer and thanks for sponsoring us this month at Less is More !
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card. Love the watercolor design.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Kyle. Great work with the Brushos. I struggle with powder inks. Thanks for being our guest this week and sponsoring our challenge this month. Have a wonderful week. 😊 Trina
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on guest designing at LIM, Kylie!! Your two cards are wonderful designs and they just vibrate with these stunning colors!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you back with us, Kylie. And a colour challenge is always perfect for you! I'm a bit scared of glossy cardstock but the effect you've created is fabulous. And the texture gel on your second looks awesome, I don't have anything like that in my stash. Two vibrant stunners xx
ReplyDeleteBoth fabulous cards Kylie. Love me some Brusho's too. Great results achieved here and I especially love those beads. Gotta get some!
ReplyDeleteTwo fun card with mixed media feel! I've seen this glass bead gel in action un a workshop and it's wonderful, I hope to get some some day! Thanks fo being a generous sponsor and inspiring GD at LIM! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful card Kylie! The brushos look so smooth on the glossy card stock and using up the excess ink for the butterfly was fab. I adore that amazing texture on your second card - it make you want to pick it up and feel it. Thanks so much for being a fantastic guest designer xx
