Happy Anti-Valentine's Day

Hi everyone! I have a fun and slightly naughty card to share with you today.
I was inspired to play along over at the Sisterhood of Snarky where their theme is A for Anti-Valentine, LOL.

I really had to get creative with this card especially with the sentiment. None of my snarky sentiment sets were remotely appropriate for this theme so I had to create a new sentiment by masking and mixing up sentiments.

Here is my card -

You can see that my attempt to 'mask and merge' words didn't go very well. Extra embossing powder got stuck on the cardstock, oh dear.
I decided to create what is quite a 'pretty' card and then top it off with the anti-valentine slogan, LOL.

My seagull and the 'shitty' part of my sentiment comes from Create A Smile. I mixed and matched sentiments from other sets to complete the 'lovely' wording :)

I hope you aren't offended, just having a little giggle.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Sisterhood of Snarky (Anti-Valentine), Happy Little Stampers (Anything Goes with Dies), Mix it Up Challenge (Anything Goes), 613 Avenue Create (Anything Goes)

Thanks for pooping (whoops, popping) in today

Inkspirational #179

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. For this fortnight, we would like you to take inspiration from our photo.

I used the pink and gold theme for my colour scheme and was inspired by the word Love in gold script.

I created my background using Brusho (I tried to create a Pink colour) and smooshing it onto my cardstock. I add some water to gold mica powder and smooshed it as well.

I die cut the heart and word from gold mirror card. This photo really shows you the shine of the mica powder :)

There is plenty to inspire you in this photo. I hope you will play along :)

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Daisy Chain Challenge (Add some Sparkle)
Creations in Pink (Anything Goes mainly in Pink)

Thanks for popping in today :)

Here is my card -

I created the colours of my hearts by smooshing watercolour paper through a mixture of Brilliant Red brushos and Gold Perfect Pearls.

I die cut the hearts once the paper was dry and used a small amount of double sided tape to adhere them to my card. I zipped it through the sewing machine then folded the edges of the hearts a little.

If you play along you will have a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers!

ATCAS #56 Hugs and Kisses

Hello! How are you?

Over at Addicted to CAS we have a brand new code word for you to play along with. Deepti, the ever talented card maker, is your hostess this week.

A great code word for the upcoming Valentines Day or just to make a card for someone who is sick or needs some cuddles.

A very simple and quick card to create. I die cut the xoxo from the SU! Thinlits Circle Card pack. I popped them up with little foam pieces for dimension onto a die cut panel using my Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle die.

We have tons of inspiration for you over at the challenge blog including our Guest Designer, Julia, who has joined us for the month of January. Thanks so much for your amazing cards!

Our sponsors for this challenge are Eureka Stamps and Scribbles Designs who are each offering 3 digis to our winner. Thanks so much!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Time Out - Valentines (no optional hearts this time)

Inspired by Stamping #45

Hi everyone!

When I saw the colour challenge at Inspired by Stamping, I just knew I wanted to make a card and try a brand new technique from my Online Card Classes.

As this is my first attempt at using acetate on a card, I got it all a bit messy with glue etc. Oh well - try, try again. But seeing this was my first attempt and it took me FOREVER to make, I must post it.

I started with Very Vanilla cardstock and decided to use my scalloped circle dies from Spellbinder. I used a medium size die to first cut out a portion of the front of the card. I then used two dies to create the 'outline' and used the bigger die to create the acetate window.
I embossed the card with my Vintage Wallpaper folder.

The sentiment is from my Fancy Sentiments set (Inspired by Stamping) and I have used the Victorian Lace and flowers that are also from Inspired by Stamping.

Here is the colour inspiration -

IBSIC#45

I don't have anything 'heart-like' in my stash!! I must remedy that. But I took inspiration from the colours and the theme of love.

Thanks so much for looking xx
