Guest Designing for Less Is More

Hi everyone! I am very happy to be Guest Designing for this channge and sponsor for the month at Less Is More.

This challenge is a CASE challenge and the amazing Aileen has a beautiful card to inspire us.

Here is Aileen's card -

Here is my card -

I decided to use the blue colour for my background after embossing my dandelions (from the new release set Dandelion Wishes). I smooshed Turquoise Brusho onto my panel, drying in between smooshing.

I die cut my sentiment out of sliver glitter paper. A few blue sequins finished it off.

Happy Little Stampers is the sponsor this month!

I would like to thank the girls over at Less Is More for having me and I hope to see you over at the challenge blog.

Less Is More - Guest Designer

Hi everyone! Today I am excited to be joining the LIM girls with their new challenge - OMBRE. Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring for the month of January and Sarah was kind enough to offer me a Guest Designer spot :) Thanks for having me!

Here is my card -

I can't say that I have really tried ombre prior to making this card. I started by embossing my sentiments which are from the HLS Simply Said set. I then blended Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans Distress Inks from top to bottom to create the ombre look. I sprayed a little water into my hand and flicked it onto the panel. I've never done that before either! I have seen this technique with the distress inks and flicked water for years so I am glad that I have finally done it!

See you over at Less Is More!

Happy 5th Birthday Less Is More!

There is a huge celebration starting today over at Less Is More!

It's their 5th birthday. Congratulations to Chrissie and her Design Team for an outstanding accomplishment.

I am totally honoured to be a Guest Designer and sponsor for the occasion!

The theme this week is

WHITE ON WHITE
with a splash of gold, silver or black

Here is my card

I used the script stamp from the HLS Thinking of You set repeatedly on the bottom panel. It was embossed with white powder.
I also embossed my butterfly from the HLS Butterfly Birthday set with white powder and die cut it using the HLS Butterfly Dies.

The sentiment is from the HLS Fun Birthday Sentiments set.

One thing that I find hard with white on white is getting decent photo!

I believe there are plenty of sponsors helping celebrate at LIM this week! Get over there to have a chance to win a prize! Once again, you could win something from Happy Little Stampers!

Guest Designing for Less Is More!

I am very excited today as I am not only a Guest Designer for Less Is More but the monthly sponsor as well!

The theme is Neutrals and here is what I have come up with.

I've used three different greys for my card in the cardstock and ink. The top panel is Vanilla.

I've stamped the sentiment and stars from the Happy Little Stampers Big Bold Sentiment set making sure to leave lots of white space on my card.

This was a very quick and easy card to make :)

A big thank you to the girls for having me this month and I can't wait to see all the Neutral cards in the gallery.

Thanks for popping in :)

ATCAS {TAG} & 500th Post Celebrations

Hi everyone, I hope I have found you well today!

I have a couple of things to share with you today. First, the challenge over at ATCAS has been going for nearly a week now but I have only just been able to post my DT project.

Second, this is my 500th Post! That has to be a reason to celebrate and give away a prize!

Let me show you what I have come up with for ATCAS and then we will come back to how you can win something ;)

Here is the code word that was chosen by the super talented Vicki

I created a card and tag combination -

I inked up a Hero Arts set that I have never used before. Hmm, I think it is called Reindeers. It has these cute trees which I have embossed with blue powder. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations and is called Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year

I was completely inspired by Loll's tag using Drywall tape (we call it plasterboard here) that I popped into the hardware store and bought some! Thanks Loll!

Here is my matching tag.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Less Is More - Non Traditional Colour Christmas Card
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes with optional Holiday Thanks

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges -

ATSM Challenge #119

Hi there everyone!

Over at Addicted to Stamps and More we are up to our CAS challenge.

I have created two cards today using a new designer's stamp. Shirley, now has her designs for sale through STAMPlorations.

Here are my cards -

Using the City Girl stamp for the first time, I decided to paper piece her coat with a newsprint type of DP. I decided to leave everything else very neutral.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Less Is More - Newsprint
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes (I didn't use the optional twist)

For this card, I stamped the Rosebud stamp and then masked the roses with a post-it note. Then I had an oval mask and stamped a background script stamp. I coloured the roses with a Spectrum Noir marker.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

CAS on Sunday - One Layer

I hope to see you at the challenge blog!

White on White Poinsettia

Good morning dear followers.

I have been lucky enough to make some cards lately that aren't related to my DT responsibilites. I really need to get my skates on and just start concentrating on my Christmas cards. You can never have too many of them!

Here is my card -

I have used another frame die sent to me by Phillipa. It is called 'Victorian Frame'. I used my Layered Poinsettia die on white cardstock and then embossed it with my Square Lattice folder. Using my stylus, I have shaped the petals and then used glossy accents to assemble. I popped a pearl in the centre. Then I inked part of a stamp from Hero Arts which had three different words on it. I had decided that 'Joy' was just enough for this card.

I am entering this into the following challenges -

"Less is More"

 - the theme at Less is More is White on White but must be a Christmas card

Less Is More #119 One Layer

Hi everyone! I hope you are well.

I was a happy little camper when I received an order of SU goodies today. It is quite overcast and cool here (I have my ugg boots on!!! ssshhhh) and it was perfect to do some craft.

I have just ordered some Basic Grey cardstock for the first time and I was hoping it would arrive in time so I could create a card for the current challenge over at Less Is More.

You are required to create a one layer card with a dark coloured cardstock.

I love the simplicity of this card by pairing the Basic Grey and Whisper White.

I have used a flourish stamp from my Elements of Style set (SU). The sentiment is from a set that was yet to be inked - Feeling Sentimental (SU). I like the two stamps together. They have both been inked with Whisper White ink. I was originally going to emboss everything but I like the end result as it is.

Thanks so much for looking xx

Less Is More and The Paper Players

Hello!!

The challenge this week over at Less is More is to create something mainly black and white and add a splash of colour. The Paper Players are saying that 'There is love in the air'.

I have used Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock for this one.
The stamp is from my Itty Bitty set and stamped with Real Red.

I have embossed the white panel with my Swiss Dots folder and then popped it up on dimensionals.
The hearts are popped up on little foam squares.

Check out these awesome challenges!

Less Is More - Oval

Just a quick post for me today.
Using my Loads of Love set, I have created a card for the latest challenge over at Less Is More. The requirement was to use an oval in your project.
I have coloured the image with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. I wrapped some hemp twine around the panels and then attached the sentiment (from the same set).
Here is my card -
Friends for the Long Haul

Thanks for looking xx

Less Is More: Week 77

Sewing? Did someone say sewing? Oh dear lord....
The latest challenge at Less Is More is to use this theme.
I cannot sew... But I can faux sew LOL
After much deliberation, I decided I should use my paper piercing tools and my new White Signo pen to create the impression of sewing.

And, just like my sewing would turn out, even my faux sewing is crooked lol!
I've used my Posy Punch stamp set and kept things pretty simple.

Thanks for looking xx

Less Is More

A cool challenge at Less is More this week. It's a one layer challenge with a twist.

Three of Anything....

Have a look at my card

Unfortunately, I don't think the colours of my embossing have showed up particularly well. I have used the same stamp 3 times. The stamp set is Reason to Smile. I have then used 3 different embossing powders - Gold, Clear and Silver. Lot's of white space and CAS.

UPDATED

Here are some photos I've just taken of the embossing to help show the colours a bit better ;)

It looks better in real life lol.
