Cute Purple Dragon

Hi everyone. My life is busy, busy, busy at the moment. Between work and Happy Little Stampers there isn't much else happening! I have only 10 more sleeps until I leave for the UK so I am very excited about that!

I received a fun stamp set and dies in the mail a couple of days ago and wanted to create something quick before I fly off for work this afternoon.

I embossed my dragon on to watercolour paper and coloured him with my Zig Markers. I added some white dots using a gel pen and then covered him with wink of stella.

I embossed the sentiment and created my background by blending Dusty Concord Distress Ink and then flicking some water over the top.

The sequins and stars were the finishing touch. Easy!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

(I used purple/free/sequins)

Light Up Snow Friends

Hi there everyone. I am lucky to have my mum with me for a quick visit so we had a great day playing in the craft room yesterday. Mum wanted to learn how to create a light up card using the Chibitronics sets.

Mum ended up making 2 light up Christmas cards and one more standard Christmas Card. She had fun! I decided to create a light up card myself!

Sooo cute!!

Here are the products I used to create this card -

HLS October ATC Challenge

Hello! Time for another challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

Here is my inspiration for you

I smooshed my ATC with brusho. Once dry I stamped my images and words. The Eiffel Tower is part of a set that was inspired by my trip to the UK for the inaugural HLS Craft Retreat. I then went on to France and Spain. Well, next month I'm off again to the UK for the next fun craft retreat so this ATC is quite appropriate!

I've used  a white pen to add some highlights. This was very quick and easy to create!

I hope to see you at the challenge blog with your ATC ideas :)

Inkspirational - One Layer Card

Hi there! Time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This fortnight we would like you to create only -

The best thing about one layer cards is they don't have to be any one design. They don't necessarily have to be CAS. You can keep layering with stencils and stamps to create amazing cards.

I have gone with a CAS style for my card and here it is -

I stamped my sentiment using my MISTI and then masked off that area with post-it tape. I stamped my holly quite randomly then removed the mask.

I used a ruler and pen to create the double lines. I coloured the holly with sharpie markers and then covered them with Wink of Stella.

Here are the products from HLS I used to create this card -

Sharpie Brush Tip Markers - 8 Pack    MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) - BACKORDER

Easy peasy!!! I hope you will play along at our challenge over at Inkspirational :)

Thanks for popping in today.

HLS October CAS Challenge

Woo hooo! Time for another CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. This month we want you to create One Layer Cards!

I have made three cards for this challenge as I find one layer CAS is very easy to create.

Card #1

I embossed my balloon and sentiment with silver powder onto Watercolour Paper. The balloon was coloured with a pink Zig Watercolour pen. I added a few silver sequins as well.

Card #2

I stamped my circles randomly onto my cardstock then coloured them in with Sharpie Markers.

Clear Wink of Stella was used to add shimmer.

Card #3

I embossed my butterfly and sentiment on Watercolour cardstock then sprinkled Brusho powder and spritzed it with water. A few sequins finished it off.

One layer cards are perfect for mailing!

Here are the supplies that I used to create my cards - you can find them over at Happy Little Stampers.

Daler Rowney - Aquafine Watercolour Paper

Sharpie Brush Tip Markers - 8 Pack   MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) - BACKORDER

HLS October Watercolour Challenge

Hello everyone. Well, this year seems to be flying by. In just a few short weeks I will be off to the UK for the HLS Craft Retreat. Wow, it has crept up on me like you wouldn't believe - so excited!

This month for the HLS Watercolour Challenge Anything Goes but you may like to play along with our optional twist.

I've made two cards for this challenge using our optional twist.

Card #1

I smooshed versamark ink through a stencil and embossed with gold powder. I applied Rose Red combined with White Brusho powder with a paint brush. I dried the panel in between applications to achieve the deeper colours at the top. I cut the shine from Gold Mirror Board and stamped the sentiment from the 'Simply Said' stamp set from Happy Little Stampers.

Card #2

I applied Brusho colours the same way as Card #1. This time I had a little gold mica powder added to the mix. Unfortunately the photo doesn't pick it up. It is quite subtle but gives it a lovely shine.

I die cut the Happy from Gold Mirror Board and then wondered if you could actually stamp on it too... I don't think I have ever seen stamping/embossing on the gold board so I gave it a go. I used my MISTI so as to make sure my stamping didn't slip. It worked beautifully! The sentiment is from the HLS Mix Mash stamp set.

I adhered my die cuts using my Quickie Glue Pen which is perfect for small areas.

Here are the supplies I have used to make these cards -

Daler Rowney - Aquafine Watercolour Paper

Brusho - Emerald Green    MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) - BACKORDER

I hope you will play along this month. Don't forget Anything Goes!

I would like to play along in the following challenges -

Card 1

Moving Along with the Times - Geometric Shapes
Stamps and Stencils - Metallics
Always Fun Challenges - Anything Goes

Card 2

CAS on Friday - Use Dies
