I love this challenge blog. I haven't had a chance to participate lately, so I made sure I set aside some time tonight to join in.
My card is a combination of a couple of new embossing folders I've just purchased. Straight through the Big Shot and Bob's your uncle! Now, not the traditional Christmas colours... I chose the red, black and white colours as I thought they were quite striking. I decided not to stamp a sentiment onto this card as the embossing folders had everything I wanted anyway. Snowflakes and Merry Christmas. The red panel is spritzed with SU white ink but it doesn't really show in the photo :(
I must remember to try and post during the day as my night time photos are horrendous. But, I am too impatient to wait lol.

For my neice
I received a phone call from my 8 year old neice. She and her team had just won their first ever Cheerleading Competition. How cute is that!!
My neice is struggling a bit at school so it just warmed my heart to hear her excitement. I decided I wanted to send her a card to congratulate her. While I'm at it, I decided to enter into the
Because of the colour of their uniform, I mainly used the yellow and blues from the Colour inspiration provided. This gorgeous cheerleader is a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. I love the glittered pom poms lol.
I hope she likes it :)

ATS - 'Bingo Addict' Challenge #1
Phew, our first week's challenge is done and dusted. Doesn't time fly when you are crafting and having fun?? I was overwhelmed with the magnificent entries that we had at Addicted to Stamps for our first challenge 'Make your Mark'. What inspirational creations there were - it was a feast for our eyes!
Our next challenge at Addicted to Stamps is
'Bingo Addict' Challenge #1.
You can find the challenge HERE
Now, who doesn't love Bingo (or at least secretly)?? The aim of this challenge is to use the Bingo card provided as inspiration.
I chose - Stamp/Emboss/Blue. I pretty much had a card for a new baby in mind. The sentiment from Stampin' Up's Whimsical Words says it all - 'Small Wonder' - how true that is.
Here is my card -
Thanks for looking and I hope you join us at ADDICTED TO STAMPS!!

JAI 123 - Just Add a Sketch
I've been sooooo busy with the challenge blog that I have only just been able to really have a look around at the challenges I like to play along with. This sketch challenge at Just Add Ink was right up my alley.
I haven't been able to use my Whisper White stampin' pad much so I decided to incorporate it into my design. I distressed the edges of the Brushed Gold cardstock and then embossed it with my Stripes folder. The stamp is from the Four Frames set and then punched out with my label punch. I used a stick pin thing-a-ma-jig in place of a 'clip'. I also used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the 'Sister' stamp in the frame.
Thanks for looking.

Technique Tuesday - Faux Pressed Flowers Challenge
I was looking at Jacqueline's take on this challenge which is just gorgeous! I was then intrigued to have a look at the tutorial. I loved the look this technique gives and decided I would give it a go.
I painstakingly chose flowers and paper, put it all together and then popped it through the Big Shot. I looked at it. I looked at it again. I thought, hmmmm, I can work with this. I looked at it again and thought "Yuk"!! My choice of colours and papers were terrible!!!
Back to the drawing board.
I am really pleased with how my second attempt turned out. This technique will be so versatile and you will be able to create anything!! Love it - thanks to Jacqueline and Mynette!
You can find this challenge at Technique Tuesday
Here is my card
I have used Stampin' Up! Whisper white card to attach my paper flowers to (these flowers are from a 2000 piece box that I've had for years and never used...) Once glued together, I popped it into my Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and through the Big Shot a few times. I fixed some jewels into the centre of each flower.
I used the other paper from a Stampin' Up! kit called 'Slumber Party'. The sentiment is from the Whimsical Words set (stamped with Concord Crush) and die cut with Framelits. The ribbon is also from the 'Slumber Party' kit.
I loved this technique and I may go through the 2000 flower pieces quicker than I thought!!

Addicted to Stamps - Scrapbook Challenge #1
Hi everyone,
I am very excited to say that the Addicted to Stamps Challenge blog has now launched its first challenge! Head over HERE to see the challenges.
The first scrapbook challenge was chosen by Jacqueline. The theme is "Celebrations - with the addition of bunting".
I chose a photo from my son's 1st birthday. He is 18 in January, so this brought back memories lol. We had an awseome day at my mum's house. My son was very spoilt with presents but at the end of the day, I think the cake was his favourite part of the whole party.
I created the bunting by using my 'Celebrations' cartridge for the Cricut machine. I used the 'Don Juan' cartridge for the letters to spell Happy Birthday.

Well, after a lot of work and a lot of trial and error, I believe we have got it right (fingers crossed). The DT have come up with some wonderful creations for our first challenge.
This is a real 'boy' card and would be perfect for dad, pop, brother etc. I have used Touch Twin Markers which are pretty new to me but I love them so far.
You can find the challenge HERE
Don't forget that all challenges and winners will be posted on Facebook. You can follow us on Facebook HERE.

With Sympathy
There has been a loss in the Fire Brigade family. I was to buy a card for training tomorrow so everyone could sign it but I decided to make it instead.
I used my Elements of Style stamp set combined with my stamp-a-ma-jig to repeat the same stamp. I have no sentiments that are appropriate so I made my own and printed it out. Finished off with the three pearls.

Drum Roll Please...
I would like to introduce my Guest Designer for the new challenge blog - Addicted to Stamps.
Patrice!!!!!
Hello!
I’m Patrice and I live in the Nation’s Capital - Canberra, ACT. I have an eleven year old son and a four legged fluff ball we call Lilli. I grew up in New Zealand with my mum sharing her love of needle craft and sewing with me. I have since found rubber stamps and pretty papers! I would describe my style as Clean and Simple (CAS), a 'less is more' kind of look. I don’t scapbook, although I’d really like to I find the 12x12 space a little daunting..... cards have a much smaller surface area to cover and the results are relatively quick and gratifying.
I have many other interests including ice cream, movies, music and an absolute LOVE of books, I make time to read every day! Since joining the paper craft world I have met the most incredibly beautiful, kind and generous people, some of which I know are going to be lifelong friends. Excited to be joining the Addicted to Stamps design team as a guest, I hope to offer just a little of the inspiration I have gained from many over the past few years.

Challenge Idea
Hi everyone,
I only have 6 followers but I love you all!!
I was wondering your thoughts on the following -
I would like to start a challenge here at Addicted to Stamps. It would obviously incorporate stamps but I would also like to see a challenge for alcohol markers. I have seen the ones for Copics and Touch Twin Markers etc. but would prefer an all round marker based challenge. I entered a challenge just for Touch Twin Markers for the first time last week - I have just realised that the winner is chosen by a random thingy-me-bob. I would rather be in a challenge that the best entries are chosen by real people lol. I haven't won any challenges but am more than happy to keep entering as I am just looking at inspiration and creative ideas. I'd like to have the following awards -
Honourable Mentions
Top Pick
Encouragement award (do you think people would be offended??)
Rookie award?
Names of the awards would be up for discussion and perhaps only some awards could be given at this stage depending on the number of entries.
What I would like to know is - Would you or anyone you know be interested in being on the Design Team? I'm not the best at this at the moment and wouldn't be confident of providing the inspiration that a design member would provide....
Are there restrictions on entering challenges if your blog is the host of a challenge?
Please let me know what you think - Am I being too optimistic and completely unrealistic??
I would obviously design a badge and award badges etc.
I would love to hear from you and any others you think may be interested!!

Merry Monday #23
I kept going with the Touch Twin Markers and decided I had to do Santa!
I didn't really plan ahead very well for this sketch lol. I decided I had to move the sentiment towards the bottom of the card because of the size of the stamp I had used. I stamped the sentiment with Real Red and then clear embossed.
I had a lot of fun making yet another christmas card.

Touch Twin Markers Colour Challenge Day 3 & Paper Players Challenge #98
Well! Didn't I have fun today.
My new Touch Twin markers arrived a couple of days ago but I haven't had many chances to give them a go. I was also doing the old googling to see how to use them!
I am going to enter this card into my first time challenge at Touch Twin Markers. I hope I have used the markers correctly. My main problem is that I don't have a very good idea for shadows etc. I was happy with the end result and I guess that's all that matters lol.
You can find their challenge HERE
I also entered the Paper Players Challenge but was really not happy with my card. The theme is summertime, so I felt this card could also be incorporated into that challenge as well. You can find their challenge HERE
Oh! Here is my card lol!
I used the masking technique for the park bench and the little girl as they are two separate stamps.

The Paper Players Challenge #98
I, once again, used a very CAS design. This is a cute little stamp set called Sunny Fun. My creativity wasn't exactly in tune tonight but this is the end result :)
