Thank you

Hi again!

Today I am sharing with you a card that I have made using the latest release stamps from IBS.

I embossed the image onto water colour paper.

Using my brushos, I sprinkled a tiny amount on my craft mat and then used a wet brush to mix up the crystals. Then I just painted the image in sections. I started with the leaves. Once I had applied the green, I gave it a very gentle spray with water so the colours would run off the image just a little.

I repeated this process for the rest of the image.

Here is the set I have used today

Cards for the Kids

Welcome back everyone. This week at Inspired by Stamping, we have been concentrating on Cards for Kids Birthdays.

Here is mine

I have used an older, but fun set from IBS called The Sky's the Limit. I stamped the balloon then created a mask with a post it note so I could stamp the clouds.

I have built the sentiment using the awesome new set - Big Wonderful

A few little sequins for the finishing touch

Polka Dot Birthday Card

Hi there everyone.

Today I am sharing a card that is perfect for the kids. This week at Inspired by Stamping, we are concentrating on Kids Birthday cards.

Lot's of fun polka dots have been stamped randomly in different colours.

I decided that a black matt would look nice to offset the sentiment.

Just Believe

Hi everyone!

A quick post from me today showcasing a mix of new and old stamps from IBS.

I've played with my Brushos again (lots of fun) and came up with this.

I started by embossing my butterfly and sentiment with white powder.

Using a light spray of water to begin with just on the image and sentiment, I then sprinkled some crystals in that area. Another light spray of water to get it run.

I dried the panel with my heat gun. I wanted to be a little more particular of where my next colours went so I used a wet brush to carefully flick water onto the areas I wanted the work with next. Then I sprinkled more crystals around.

I repeated this process incorporating more flicking of water from my brush to get a bit of running here and there of the colours.

Here are the sets I have used today

Thinking of You

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for popping by.

Over at Inspired by Stamping we are showcasing Thinking of You cards all this week.

Here is mine

I used a post it note to create a mask. Once I had stamped all my butterflies, I coloured them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I then stamped my sentiment.

Here is a close up of the butterflies.

This is such a pretty and effective way to use a stamp more than once on your cards.

Brushos for Ocean and Sky

Hi there everyone. Hope you are well.

I have a card to share with you using my favourite techniques at the moment. Bruhos + embossing.

The background panel is the one that you can see that I made in my video tutorial. Once it was completely dry, I was able to emboss straight on top.

Here is my card using new release stamps from Inspired by Stamping

I love the blues on this panel.

Such a great effect!

You can see my video tutorial below

Here are the sets I've used from Inspired by Stamping

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Allsorts - As blue as the ocean
Suzy Bees Challenge - Use only two colours

Sea shells are.....

Hi again. All week over at Inspired by Stamping we are concentrating on ways to use embossing on your cards.

I have used an absolutely gorgeous sentiment set for this card.

I felt the kraft and blue card together created such a nice combo.

I have a heap of these little charms for all different occasions so I have tied it up with some jute string to attach it to my card.

Isn't this sentiment so sweet! I have embossed it in white so it pops off the kraft card stock.

Watercolour Sentiments

Hi there everyone.

A quick post from me today using one of the New Release sets from Inspired by Stamping.

Here is my card -

Using my favourite background technique, I have layered up the panels with foam squares and embossed the sentiment in white.

Here is my video tutorial for you to see how I made the background using Brushos, Starch and Cling Wrap.

Thank you Card

Hi there everyone! I hope you are well :)

This week over at Inspired by Stamping we are showcasing Thank You cards.

I have used a new, fun set called Polka Dots.

To make this card I did quite a bit of masking.

First, I masked the area on the card where I wanted to stamp my sentiment. Then I started randomly stamping the polka dots in different colours.

The sentiment in this set is a block so I masked the 'you' and stamped 'thank' first. Then I repeated this step again but switching the mask.

Lastly, I scored lines above and below my sentiment.

New Release at Inspired by Stamping

Hi there everyone. Today I am sharing another card with you using the Seaside set from Inspired by Stamping.

I really loved how this fella turned out.

First, I cut two panels for the front of my card. I die cut an oval out of one of them then placed it on top of the other and lightly traced around the inside of the oval. This was so I knew exactly where I would be stamping my images.

I stamped the pelican first and then made a mask from a post-it note. Then I stamped the wooden posts so he would be standing on them.

I masked both images and sponged the background with distress inks.

I stamped the sentiment and then adhered both panels together.

This card actually came together nice and quick and I was very happy with the end result.

New Releases at Inspired by Stamping!!

Woo hooo! It's New Release week at Inspired by Stamping and the new designs that Joanna has come up with has us all excited - AGAIN! She never ceases to amaze us.

I have inked up the Seaside set to create this yummy beach scene.

The first thing I did was stamp the beach chairs and then used stamped them again onto a post-it note so I could make a mask.

I tore up a piece of paper to create more masks and I sponged distress inks for the sand, water and sky.

I created faux sea foam by using True Snow applied with a small brush.

I really like how this turned out and this stamp set is really fun with lots of seaside themed images. The sky is the limit!

Here is the new set -

Stay tuned all week because each day there will be more inspiration using the new stamps over at the blog.

Hi everyone and welcome! Today is the beginning of the New Release at Inspired by Stamping and it is a cracker!

Today the Big Wonderful set is on show but I have also used the lighthouse from an upcoming new release as a little sneak peek for you ;)

Here is my card -

I started by stamping the lighthouse and then creating a mask so I could sponge my sky.

I used Spectrum Noir markers to add hints of colour to the light, grass and sea.

I absolutely LOVE the sentiment I created with this new set.

Don't forget that each day at the blog, there will be a new release so pop on over to see what is happening!
