Inkspirational #168

Hi everyone! My post is a little late because I not only forgot to schedule it but I forgot to write it! Whoops! Better late than never?

We have a word prompt for you over at Inkspiraitonal. The word is 'SNAP'

I had to think very hard about this word which hurt my brain, lol. Then I had a snap moment and remembered I actually have a stamp that says 'snap'!

The background paper is from a scrapbooking album set that I bought a number of years ago while in Hawaii. It has a really pretty rainbow ombre effect. I covered the panel with vellum using a spray adhesive then stamped my sentiment, cut it out with the coordinating die, and popped it up with some foam tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

AUD Sentiments - Anything Goes
Cardz 4 Galz - Die Cuts or Punches
Mod Squad - Rainbows or Butterflies
Crafty Hazelnut - Anything Goes with Patterned Paper

Thanks for popping in today :)

Inkspirational #167

Hi there everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This fortnight we have a fun and colourful photo to help inspire you.

Here is my card -

and the inspiration photo

My first thought was to go with rainbow colours but I also wanted to think outside the box.

I used a cupcake die to create my ice cream tops and cut out a cone from kraft paper. I used distress ink on all my pieces to give some depth, then assembled them.

The sentiment is from the HLS Doodled Flowers set.

Thanks for popping in and I hope to see you over at the challenge blog :)

Light up Christmas Cards

Hello! I hope you are all well? I've made a couple of fun Christmas Cards that I would like to share with you :)

Card 1

I ordered a couple of Paper Artsy Stamp sets and decided I wanted to use a couple of images from the Zinksy ZA19 set and create light up cards using my Chibitronics kits.

I coloured him with my Spectrum Noir markers which have been idle for quite some time! I had fun colouring again :)

Using my Chibitronics kit, I created my circuit so when the sentiment is pressed, his buttons would light up.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

CRAFT Challenge - Christmas

Card 2

This little fella was screaming to be lit up!

I created it so, once again, when the sentiment was pressed, the lights would activate. This time I wanted his antlers to light up.

I coloured him with Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Sweet Stampin' Christmas - Anything Goes
Christmas with the Cuties - Add some sparkle
Always Fun Challenges - Let it Sparkle

HLS August CAS Challenge

Hi everyone! It's a new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and we have a fun theme for you this month.

We all love using die cuts! I made a little Christmas scene :)

I simply die cut a circle out of my panel as an aperture for my scene. For the background I used embossing enamel and the snow drift has textured snow. I used distress inks on my house and tree to create depth.

Supplies Used:

HLS August Watercolour Challenge

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Watercolour Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

Anything Goes but you may like to play along with our twist just like I did by making a number of cards :)

Card 1

I embossed all my little images from the Doodled Flowers set, watercoloured them with Zig Markers, then fussy cut them out.

I  also used my Zigs to scribble on my background and blend them with water. I dried each colour with my heat gun before adding the next.

Card 2

Another masked and embossed card!

Once again coloured with Zigs. This is a combination of two stamps - Especially for You and Everyday Sentiments.

Card 3

This cute flower arrangement is a Woodware stamp that I bought at a sale while in the UK. Sarah and Anita were with me at the time and we had LOTS of fun!

I embossed the image with Liquid Platinum powder. I coloured everything with Zigs then went over it with a clear glitter pen. I die cut the Thanks out of the panel and then die cut it again 3 more times in black cardstock. I layered them all together so the sentiment would pop up a little. The 'for everything' is from the HLS Simply Said set.
