ATSM Challenge #68

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Over at Addicted to Stamps and More! we have a brand new challenge for you today.

We are up to our Colour Challenge. This is actually the last time we will be having the Colours so keep an eye out for the new challenge in a few weeks.

Here are the colours to inspire you -

I decided that these colours were perfect for a Halloween card. I don't usually make cards for Halloween as we don't celebrate it here in Australia. Each year, though, more and more children seem to like the idea of dressing up and going trick and treating. My neices and nephews being those children, lol.

So, I decided to just send them a card each. This is the only one I have made so far, so I will have to get cracking.

Here is my DT card -

The colours look a little odd on my computer monitor but hopefully you can tell that I have only used the colours provided for inspiration (apart from a little brown on the broomstick and hair).

This little image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and called Trick or Treat.

I have coloured it with my Spectrum Noir pens. The DSP is retired from SU and called Frightful Sight.

The sentiment and little spiders are from Inspired by Stamping and from the sets - Halloween Labels and Halloween Tags.

Over at ATSM we have a wonderful sponsor for you -

The prize for our Top Addict will be a $20 gift voucher!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Inspired by Stamping - Customer Gallery
Totally Papercrafts - Too Cute to Spook

I hope you get the time to play along over at ATSM! See you there.

Thanks so much for looking xx

Addicted to Stamps & More - HALLOWEEN

This week over at ATS&M we are
ADDICTED TO HALLOWEEN
When I chose the theme for this month, I knew it HAD to be Halloween even though it isn't 'celebrated' here in Australia. Kids do at times go trick and treating but that's about it. I decided I was going to make all my neices and nephews little treat boxes with a card this year. I'm usually a Halloween 'Scrooge', but thought I would help them to enjoy themselves lol.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a Halloween Party, though? Dressing up would be so much fun. It just would be a bit of a struggle for all the guests to find costumes etc as they aren't that accessible here.
Anywho..... Here is my card -
Not spooky or anything but maybe next year I will have the whole Halloween thing down pat lol.
This is a new stamp set from SU! called Wicked Cool. I think they are pretty cool, don't you?
Head on over to the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and join in the fun. The DT have come up with AMAZING designs for your viewing delight (or horror).....
Thanks for looking xx

JAI #136 - For the kids

Hi there, I have another entry for the challenge over at Just Add Ink.
My first entry was the lolly box that I will be making for all my nieces and nephews for Halloween. I decided that I had to make them a card each too. Here is the first one I have made -

The black panel was created with Basic Black Cardstock stamped with Whisper White ink using my Wicked Cool set and my stamp-a-ma-jig.
I have used my Inspired by Stamping sets for the pumpkin, spiders, cat and sentiment. I thought the googly eyes were the cherry on top, LOL.

Thanks so much for looking xx

IBSIC #27 & JAI #136

After a very humid morning, the clouds are getting darker and I think we are going to get a nice storm this afternoon. It's been a lovely day to do craft especially when my mail came a little earlier than usual and I had a wonderful package arrive from Joanne over at Inspired By Stamping.

Over at Inspired by Stamping there is a colour inspiration challenge. At Just Add Ink you need to make something for kids.
I have actually chosen to make a gift today. Even though we don't celebrate Halloween here in Australia, each year more and more kids do the whole trick 'n treating routine. Last year my 7 neices and nephews all did it and got dressed up to the hilt. So, I decided that instead of being a Halloween scrooge, I would make them up some little lolly boxes using my Simply Scored.

Now, I got a bit gung ho with this one and didn't take photos as I was going. The inside of the box has 3 compartments which I will pop in black jellybeans (Bat Droppings) and other suspicious looking treats ;) The lid really should have been made using a clear window sheet or something similar but all I had was some vellum. It worked really well but you can't see inside the box very well.

I have used the following colours for papers etc - Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Real Red. All the stamps are from Inspired By Stamping. I love the sayings on these stamps - for example "Toxic Tonic, Fur of Werewolf & Voodoo Potion" to name just a few. My neices and nephews who range from 9 years old and down are going to love these!! (Now, I have to make another 6!!).

Now, I am off to make another card using these colours as inspiration!
