Welcome! Today kick's off the CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. Even though it's stinking hot here in Australia, we have a theme that will help cool things down :)
My card was stamped with a snowflake from HLS Let it Snow. I stamped the sentiment with versafine ink then embossed it with clear powder.
This crazy looking angel is from the Katzelkraft Sherlock Holmes set. I coloured him with my polychromo's. The sentiment is an oldie from HLS Mixed Christmas Sentiments.
Card #2
This card was super easy to create. I embossed the sentiment with Liquid Platinum powder. That's it! This type of card would be perfect to mass produce as I used my MISTI for stamping. This sentiment is from a set from Mama Elephant called Season's Wishes
I hope you will play along over at the challenge blog :)

Happy Saturday. It's time for a new challenge over at LIM where we want you to create a ONE LAYER CARD with the theme of winter flora. Even though it's summer here in Australia at Christmas time, you can't go past good old Christmas cards using beautiful flora such as holly, mistletoe, and christmas trees (for example).
Here are my cards -
Card #1
For this card, I used a new stamp called Berry Kissed by Penny Black. I really like the watercolouring technique used with these stamps (incorporating the MISTI) but I haven't really mastered this technique. I decided to try no line colouring by stamping the image with Antique Linen ink then colouring with my polychromos. I went a little crazy with my white gel pen but the end result was okay :) The sentiment is an old one from the HLS Mixed Christmas Sentiments.
Card #2
This card was created using another HLS set called Merry Kissmas. I stamped the Mistletoe and sentiment at the same time using my MISTI. I coloured the image using some glitter pens. Easy!
Card #3
This stamp is from Sugar Plum Fairy by CAS-ual Fridays. I am embossed the image straight onto my linen card, then coloured the star with a gold sharpie.
We have two guest designers for this challenge - Ankie (our August Winner) and our generous sponsor Bev (from Uniko).

Hi everyone! Wow, it's already September and I honestly cannot believe how fast this year has gone! It's time for a new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers :)
I used a new set from Avery Elle and coloured everything with my polychromo pencils. Since making this card, I've also invested in some gamsol and blending stumps. It really allows for a nice finish on coloured images. I think it would have really helped with blending my pink balloon just that little bit better :)
Have you heard about the new challenge blog I have started?
Our first challenge is on the 15th September and I hope you will play along. This is the perfect challenge if you already love creating CAS cards but it is also perfect for those of you who may just be starting out. By following the rule of thirds, you can't go wrong!!

This is a really easy way to keep your cards Clean and Simple!
I have made two cards for this challenge with a fruit theme :)
Card #1
Card #2
This is a new set from Close to my heart I bought off a destashing site. Even though I use my MISTI when I stamp, the orange was a little disappointing. It took me forever to try and get a decent image.
Hi there everyone! We have had a really change in the weather. It's gone from stinkin' hot, what is this hell? to beautiful rain and pleasant temperatures. Hopefully it lasts.. it is the 2nd month of Autumn here in QLD, Australia but that means nuffink. Summer is still here and winter doesn't hang around for very long :(
We have a new monthly CAS challenge starting right now over at Happy Little Stampers!
That's right - one layer card. It's one of my favourites! No mess, no fuss!
I cut down a piece of watercolour paper and simply folded it in half to create my cardbase. I embossed the rose and coloured it in with my Zig pens.
I went over the entire thing with a glitter pen -
Don't forget the rules for a Clean and Simple card - lot's of open space, no clutter, minimal layers, and minimal embellishments. A one layer card is simply that - no layers whatsoever - just a piece of card folded in half .
Hey there everyone! Time for our CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. Just a really quick post for me today.
Yep, this could be a tricky one but I thought outside the box!
My fantasy/dream would be to move to the UK. I love it over there! I used the HLS Wish you were here set for the London skyline and sentiment. I crossed out 'you' and replaced it with 'I'.
Hi there everyone, time for a new month of challenges over at Happy Little Stampers :)
Our first challenge is -
Anything Goes! If you would like a break from the usual Halloween / Christmas themes, there is always a need for the odd get well card :)
I simply embossed my flower on watercolour paper, coloured it with my Zigs, fussy cut it out, then adhered it to my postage stamp die cut panel. The sentiment is also embossed.
I'm usually at my 'other' job as a bartender when my Inkspirational posts go live and I can't ever check if they work until the next day. Does anyone else panic about this sort of thing? Lucky we have our crafting hobbies in our lives - it pretty much keeps me sane and we have a cool photo to inspire you for this challenge - it's all about CRAFTS
Here is my card -
This is one layer card. I embossed my butterflies with liquid platinum and stamped the little words around them. I included 'life' as one of the words because after my family, crafting IS my life!
Hi everyone! A quick post for me today. On the 20th of each month, we are spotlighting one stamp set from Happy Little Stampers.
This month we are showcasing Mix Mash (see the post over at HLS here)
I made a very simple Christmas Card -
I drew a line using a pencil and ruler as guide for my circles. Once they were stamped I went over the pencil line with a gold pen. I coloured the circles with glitter wink of stella pens. I combined the Mix Mash set with the Christmas Joy set - the star and sentiment. Easy!

Hi everyone! It's time for our CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and this month we want you to be -
This could mean anything - flowers, animals, jungle, wild partying, wild party animals... LOL
I went with some butterflies and a 'wild' sentiment.
I kept the colour combo to pink and grey. I randomly stamped my butterfly from the 'Especially for You' set and then used my MISTI for the sentiment from 'Born to be Wild'. Easy!
Hi everyone! Woah, September already?? It's a big month for me - Father's Day on the 2nd and my dad's 60th birthday on the 11th. I am also starting to plan my grandson's 1st birthday party which is in November - can you believe he is nearly 1????
Over at Happy Little Stampers we kick off a new month with our Watercolour Challenge.
Anything Goes but you may like to play along with our twist and use a butterfly or two or three...
Here are my cards (yes I made two lol) -
For my first card I placed a stencil on watercolour card, sprinkled turquoise brusho, misted with water, then lifted the stencil. I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process.
I stamped and die cut my butterfly from some left over card that I flipped the stencil over and pressed the ink on to it.
I rounded off the edges of this card for a bit of interest.

My second card was created in the same manner but I used orange and yellow brushos.
Hi there everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This fortnight we have a fun and colourful photo to help inspire you.
Here is my card -
and the inspiration photo
My first thought was to go with rainbow colours but I also wanted to think outside the box.
I used a cupcake die to create my ice cream tops and cut out a cone from kraft paper. I used distress ink on all my pieces to give some depth, then assembled them.
The sentiment is from the HLS Doodled Flowers set.
Hello! I hope you are all well? I've made a couple of fun Christmas Cards that I would like to share with you :)
Card 1
I ordered a couple of Paper Artsy Stamp sets and decided I wanted to use a couple of images from the Zinksy ZA19 set and create light up cards using my Chibitronics kits.
I coloured him with my Spectrum Noir markers which have been idle for quite some time! I had fun colouring again :)
Using my Chibitronics kit, I created my circuit so when the sentiment is pressed, his buttons would light up.

Hi everyone! It's a new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and we have a fun theme for you this month.
We all love using die cuts! I made a little Christmas scene :)
I simply die cut a circle out of my panel as an aperture for my scene. For the background I used embossing enamel and the snow drift has textured snow. I used distress inks on my house and tree to create depth.
Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational. Sandie has set a time challenge as her choice for this fortnight.
Here is my card -
My card is very CAS. A die cut frame, an embossed butterfly (from the HLS Butterfly Birthday set) coloured with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers and stamped sentiments using my MISTI. The sentiments are from the HLS Smile! set.
This card took me about 6 mins to put together. I have to admit that I forgot to set a timer... I did happen to look at a clock, though :)
The 10 mins starts when you actually start making your card-you can collect all the items you need to make the card before you start that clock!
We would love to know how long it took you to make this-just for fun!
Because you can get all your supplies ready, 10 minutes should be plenty of time to create something. It doesn't have to be CAS, just go with your own process.
