Paris Love

Hi everyone, how is your Sunday going so far?

I have made a card today using goodies from Inspired by Stamping. I really went out of my comfort zone with this one. Layers and lots of bits and pieces. I hope you like it :)

Here is my card -

Once I had decided which stamps I was going to use, I pretty much had a design in mind. I have to say it took me quite a while to put this together. I really wanted to pull things off but then I wouldn't have got that layered up, vintage look that I wanted to achieve.

The thing that was the hardest for me was where to put the little tag. I moved it around the card for about 15 minutes just not knowing what to do with it but wanting to use it. I settled on the bottom left hand corner. I think it works well there.

From my stash I used some pretty rose patterned paper (I used a tool to distress the edges), a doily and a little postcard.

Feel Better

Hello again! Another post for me today! That's because Joanna over at Inspired by Stamping gave us a sneak peek of the upcoming July Blog Hop and the sketches we could use. I've had my card prepared for about a week now.

There are two sketches to use -

I decided to go with Sketch #2.

My step-father's mum had a fall a little while ago and had to have sugery to have her hip replaced. I wanted to create a Vintage looking card using the sketch.

Here is my card -

I have used a couple of different DP's on this card. One is from SU and the other I'm not sure about. I have stamped this rose from the Inspired by Stamping range, called Elegant Flowers, onto watercolour paper and used my SU markers and a blender pen. I have sponged around the flower with Chocolate Chip. The edges of the papers are sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I have used my Sassy Salutations stamped in Chocolate Chip. 

Check out that lace! I went into Lincraft a couple of weeks ago and decided to have a look at the millions of rolls of lace that they have. This lace was so different but I really liked it.

ATSM - Vintage!

Good morning. We have a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More! and the theme is

VINTAGE

Now, Vintage, is something I don't really 'do' but that's what these challenges are all about!

Here is my DT card and you can decide :)

The hardest thing for me to do with cardmaking is layers. I am pretty much more CAS-inclined. I really enjoyed making this though - it pushed me to think of 'what else can I add to this card'?

In a nutshell - I have stamped a new stamp called Vintage Love with Versamark ink and clear embossed. The music sheet is also a new stamp and it is inked with Vintage Photo. The DP is from a pad that uses all vintage type styles.

The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping (our sponsor) and is from the Fancy Sentiments set. The little charm is from Stampin Up. Now, the green 'flower' that you see is my first attempt at trying to make my own flower out of ribbon. This entailed using a running stitch and with the loose ends, pull the ribbon together and manipulate it into the shape you like. This one didn't 'quite' work but I couldn't bring myself not to use it for something. I have popped an antique brad in the centre. Considering I don't sew, I wasn't too unhappy with it ;)

Make My Monday - Vintage Wedding

I received a package today full of crafting goodies. While unpacking I realised that I had some perfect additions to my collection which would make for a good Vintage card. I LOVE it when a plan comes together lol (intentional or not!)

Well, the theme over at MMM is Vintage Wedding. The DT have come up with some amazing and very classy creations.

I decided to go with Whisper White and Very Vanilla Cardstock. I embossed the Very Vanilla Panel with my new Vintage Wallpaper folder (how about that!). I used my new Chic Circle Frame (which is just way too cute) on Whisper White cardstock and then mounted a photo I found on the internet. I inked the edges of this panel with Vintage Photo.

Today I also received the Victoria Crochet Trim. It's so lovely! I mounted that onto a piece of Whisper White (edges inked with Vintage Photo) which I used my Eyelet Border punch on the edge.

I then added pearls to the centre of the flowers on the embossed Vintage Wallper and a string of pearls on the Crochet Trim. Some pretty flowers up the top and finished!
