With Sympathy

Hi everyone. I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Last night I received a phone call from my best friend to say that her dad had passed away. I will be off to a funeral on Wednesday. Today I retreated to my craft room to make a couple of sympathy cards for her family.

Here is my first card -

I have used my new SU set here - Serene Silhouettes. To create my background, I inked up an acrylic block, misted it with water and then pressed it to my cardstock. I then used a sponge to smooth out the ink. The sentiment is from the Simply Sketched set by SU.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Crafting When We Can - Make your own Background

Here is my 2nd card -

Here I have used stamps and dies from Inspired by Stamping. The rose (coloured with Spectrum Noir markers) is from the Elegant Flower set and the dies are Fancy Labels Dies 1

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

CAS on Sunday - Sympathy
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes/Use a Sentiment

Thanks so much for looking xx

ATSM Challenge #65 - Photo Inspiration

Goodmorning everyone! It's Wednesday so that means a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More.

We have a photo for inspiration for you -

You can take ANY of the elements from this photo to create something of your own.

Here is my DT card -

Now, you may be thinking how did I get this 'spring' looking card out of the photo inspiration? I decided to use the flowers that are in the photo as the main elements for my card. As it is Spring here in Australia, I thought it was nice and colourful for our season.

I have used some retired DSP for the background and then used my Blossom Punch on white cardstock which I popped up using dimensionals. I punched out some smaller flowers in Old Olive and Melon Mambo, used my paper piercer to add in a brad and then used dimensionals to pop them up too.

The sentiment is from the Simply Sketched set and inked with Wisteria Wonder.

Pop on over to the challenge blog for more wonderful inspiration from the DT. We also have some new team mates to welcome. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks so much for looking xx

ATSM - Addicted to Colours

Hi! Happy Wednesday everyone. This means that there is a brand new challenge starting right now over at

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE

We have a colour challenge for you this week -

We have used Stampin' Up colours as a reference. Just use whatever you have in your stash that is closest.

Here is my DT card -

I have used the new Simply Sketched stamp set. Using my markers, I have coloured directly onto the stamp. I have fussy cut out the leaves and have only adhered the bottom to the card. That way the leaves were 'off' the card.

The bottom of the Wild Wasabi panel was embossed with one of the Textured Impression folders. The white panel has been popped up on dimensionals.

These colours are perfect for all sorts of cards/projects.

I hope you can play along this week. The DT have offered amazing inspiration for you. We also have a wonderful sponsor -
