Hi everyone! Today I am excited to be joining the LIM girls with their new challenge - OMBRE. Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring for the month of January and Sarah was kind enough to offer me a Guest Designer spot :) Thanks for having me!
Here is my card -
I can't say that I have really tried ombre prior to making this card. I started by embossing my sentiments which are from the HLS Simply Said set. I then blended Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans Distress Inks from top to bottom to create the ombre look. I sprayed a little water into my hand and flicked it onto the panel. I've never done that before either! I have seen this technique with the distress inks and flicked water for years so I am glad that I have finally done it!
See you over at Less Is More!
The ombre looks great Kylie :)ReplyDelete
Love the rich ombre on your card, Kylie - that water splattering technique is always so fun and effective! The white embossed sentiment really pops too. It is great to have you as GD at LIM this week :)ReplyDelete
What a gorgeous and striking ombre panel Kylie. Love the distress inks for blending the different tones of colours and your blending is so smooth and beautiful. Almost like an ocean itself. Love how the sentiments pop and glad you like that water flicking technique ... I can't resist it!!! What fun eh! Thanks for being our sponsor and GD at LIM and hope you get lots of visits. xxReplyDelete

What a gorgeous and sumptuous colour you chose for the ombre Kylie! Really can't believe you are a novice at the technique because your blending is awesome! A stunning example. Love the ink splatters too as they add so much textural interest. Thanks so much for being the LIM guest designer xxReplyDelete
