Hi there everyone! How are you today? I am so much better and have just about got over my bronchitis.
Today I am going to share with you the beautiful Spring Lilacs set from Inspired by Stamping.
I decided I wanted to incorporate a tag onto my card which is something I haven't done before. I'm liking all these 'firsts' that I am attempting :)
Here is my card -
The first thing I did was use distress inks on the tag. The tag has a glossy finish so it was hard to stamp on it and get it to dry. In the end I smudged everything with my finger and it looked great!
Once my tag was completed, I looked at designing the rest of my card. I have embossed the bottom panel and then used distress inks around the edges. I cut a smaller panel and used distress ink on that as well. I then layed a doily over the top of the panel with die cut leaves. The tag has been placed on top with foam tape.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges
(yes! It is me again. This is my 4th entry into this challenge. They can't keep me away!)
Thanks so much for looking xx
This is very pretty! I love the embossing! Thanks so much for linking up with us at PDE Linky Party!

wow hon, you are going for the mixed media look and it suits you! I love the colours you have used and the image is perfect for this. Doily as well...goodness, but it really compliments the colours and design x
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty vintage card, Kylie! Wish I could get the hang of sponging on the edges to look like this! Thanks too for the birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteLOVE ... beautiful vintage tag card Kylie! The finger smudging is perfect :) I'm happy to hear that you are trying a lot of new things and HAVING FUN! That's what it's all about! Loll xx
ReplyDeleteThe finger smudging has given a fab effect to the tag. Also like d soft colours of d bg which make d tag standout.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely card! thanks for playing along with us at MMCC :)
ReplyDeleteWell, smudging definitely worked because that tag is GORGEOUS, Kylie! Love the earthy, vintage feel of this card :o)
