Mice on Ice [Double Slider Card]

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? It's Monday morning here (my day off work) so of course I'm in my craft room :) I would like to share a card with you that I finished off over the weekend.

It's a double slider surprise card! I used a NBUS stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn called Mice on Ice in conjunction with others to create this interactive card. I've had these mice for a number of weeks and decided it was time to ink them up.

Pull the tabs and what do you find?
Aren't those skating mice just adorable! I can't ice skate or roller skate to save my life - this would be quite adventurous for me to do!
I have also used the following products - Double Slider Surprise Die set, Winter Village, and Stitched Hillside Borders.

This cute scene was inspired by this card HERE

All my images were coloured with polychromo pencils. The background was created using distress ink and flicking white acrylic paint for the snow.

You may wonder why an Aussie girl creates so many snowy scenes for Christmas Cards... It's so bloody hot here at Christmas we all dream of a White Christmas at some time in our lives ;)  Funny enough, one year it DID snow here on Christmas Day - in Canberra (the capital of Australia). It was 1987. It didn't stay on the ground for long but as a 12 year old, it was pretty cool to see, lol.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Moving Along with the Times (Create a Scene), Creative Knockouts (Lots of Layers), Timeout (Be Adventurous), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions), Darnells NBUS Challenge (Anything New Goes), 2 Crafty Critter Crazies (Anything with a Critter), Christmas 24 (Christmas Animals)

Thanks for popping in today :)

  6. Oh, my goodness, what will they think of next?? This is the best interactive card ever, Kylie! Your pencil coloring is out of this world fabulous!! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep well and keep dreaming of those white Christmases. We have that same kind of rare snow here. When it happens and it barely dusts the ground, everyone is out of their houses ooohing and aaahing. People from snowy states would roll their eyes if they could see it, lol! Hugs, Darnell

  9. What an adorable card! I have this set but have not used it...yet! You did a great job with it. Sorry you don't have a white Christmas in Australia. I live up north in the US and we've had some warm Christmases, but I love having a white Christmas! Thanks for joining our Time Out challenge!
