Interactive Slider Card

Hi everyone.

Being my day off work today, I decided to obviously spend some time in my craft room :)
I was looking through my stash at all the goodies I haven't even used yet and decided to get on with making some cards. Interactive cards, that is.

I made a bit of a list of the types of interactive cards -

Slider Cards
Lift the Flap Cards
Pop Up Cards
Light Up Cards
Shaker Cards
Reveal Wheel Cards

I used to make shaker and light up cards all the time. Why do we stop making particular cards? I think there are just so many styles, stamps, and dies and the ideas for cards are endless. What fun would it be if we created the same type of card all the time? :) It's fun to revisit these styles.

I've got a number of stamps and dies that are perfect to create interactive cards so now I am on a bit of a mission to get them out and create.

I decided to start off with a slider card using the Lawn Fawn dies called 'Slide on Over'.

I decided to create a fun birthday card using these characters from the Waffle Flower set called
"P-arr-ty Time".

I decided to have the treasure chest as the interactive part of the card. This way the mice look to be fighting over who gets the chest, lol.

Here you can see the mouse on the left has his chance...

Now it's the mouse on the right...

The designer paper was perfect for the sand and sea at the bottom of the card.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -

Rudolph Kisses

Hello! I have a quick card to share with you. I stamped a few images last night and let them sit overnight. I find if I stamp and then try and colour because I use gamsol, the ink can bleed at times (even if I try and heat set it). Today I didn't have any issues with bleeding ink so I am very happy about that.

This cute fella is by Stamping Bella called "Rudolph the Skating Reindeer".
Coloured with polychromo pencils and sequins to finish off.

Sweet Stampers (Christmas in July), Simply Create Too (Red, White, and Blue), Cute Card Thursday (Christmas in July), Christmas Craft Creations (Christmas Characters), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions),

Penny Black Saturday Challenge {Midway Reminder}

Hi everyone, it's time for our midway reminder post for the current PBSC!

Our challenge is

ANYTHING GOES WITH OPTIONAL NATURE

I have two cards to share with you using the Penny Black Butterfly Trio stamp set.

Card #1
I was inspired by this card HERE
I embossed the largest butterfly on white cardstock then used distress ink to create the background. I fussy cut around the base of the butterfly and popped it up with foam tape.
The base is coloured card that I embossed my sentiment on then added sequins and clear drops for interest.

Card #2
I stamped the same butterfly stamp, coloured it with glitter pens, then fussy cut it out. I popped it up over an aperture.

Here are both cards together -

Christmas in July

Hi everyone! Keeping with the trend of using new stamp sets, I have two cards to share with you today.

Card #1
A cute set by Avery Elle called 'Fireside'. I love all the bits and pieces that come with this set. It is perfect for Christmas in July where it is colder temperatures here in Australia :)

Card #2
Lawn Fawn have most of my favourite sets and I'm starting to build quite a collection since I bought my first stamps and dies while in London back in 2014ish.
I had to have this set called 'Winter Village' which I combined with 'Home for the Holidays'. The little stars are from the 'Spooky Village' set.

I coloured all my images for both cards with polychromo pencils. I use gamsol and blending stumps as well.

Summer Flowers

Hello everyone! A quick card from me today. It literally took only minutes to make.

I stamped the flower using my MISTI in Memento Luxe 'Lilac Posies' ink. I created a mask then stamped the leaves with Memento Luxe "Pear Tart" ink.
I overlayed the sentiment in black ink which is from the HLS Doodled Flowers set.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges

Double Slider Surprise

Hi everyone! Today I have a fun card to share with you that I created using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

The double slider surprise die was one I had to have but this is the first time I've finished my card using them :) It's a little tricky and I have tried a couple of samples but once you get the hang of putting it all together, it's not too bad.

I wanted to create a Christmas card and used both the Ho-Ho-Holidays and Mice on Ice stamp sets. They both have coordinating dies which is awesome.

I coloured all the images with polychromo pencils. After the main panel and sliders were all decorated, I adhered the whole thing to my card front.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
The Paper Players (Fun & Fancy Folds), Cute Card Thursday (Anything Goes), Dies R Us (Anything Goes with dies they sell), Die Cut Divas (Christmas in July)

Thanks for popping in today (it's also my birthday and my usual day off work so it's been really fun making a card)!

Guest Designing for AAA Cards!

I am really honoured to be Guest Designing for the awesome AAA Card Challenge

I have made two cards that were made in minutes and used the optional twist of Christmas in July.

Card #1
I emboseed the sentiment (stamped with my MISTI) then used a sponge and distress ink to add colour. A couple of splashes of water and sequins for bling - ta da!

Card #2
I stamped the image and sentiment using my MISTI. I coloured the reindeer with polychromo pencils, then added sequins for bling. This card took a little longer than the first due to colouring the image but it was made in under 20 minutes.

Thank you to the team for having me!

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - 12 months of Christmas Link Up (Anything Goes), ABC Christmas Card Challenges (No is for No Fuss)
Card #2 - Christmas Cards All Year Round (Cool it!), Country View Challenge (Do what makes you happy *Colouring), Cards for Kids (Christmas in July)

Less is More #423 - Colour

Hello! It's time for a new challenge over at Less is More :)

Our wonderful sponsor is

I have created two cards using our sponsors' stamps.

Card #1
I've used the Pretty Posies stamp and die combo.
I stamped in grey ink and coloured the posy with my polychromo pencils. I decided to leave the leaves as is to get the effect of the colour scheme.
The sentiment is from HLS.

Card #2
I used the Calm and Gentle set to stamp in our colour scheme and create this sweet tree. I rounded the corners of this card for something different :)

I hope you can join in with us for our colour challenge at Less is More!

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Watercooler Challenges (Feminine), Mix it Up Challenge (Anything Goes), Crafty Creations Challenge (Anything Goes), Festive Friday (CAS, Birthday, Floral)
Card #2 - Krafty Chicks (Stamp Act), Happy Craft Challenge (Anything Goes), Creative Moments (For the Girls)

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday!

It's time for a new challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

ANYTHING GOES OR 'NATURE'

I decided to go with a Christmas stamp showcasing these beautiful berries. This is a slapstick stamp by Penny Black called 'Berry Kissed'

I used my Zig watercolour pens and my MISTI to stamp this image. By colouring the stamp, misting it with water, then pressing the image onto watercolour paper while using the MISTI it allows you to repeat the colouring and stamping easily. It's a great way to build up the colour and texture.

I hope to see you over at the PBSC blog!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Christmas 24 (Christmas Foliage), Fezziwigs Festive Frolics (Anything Festive), The House that Stamps Built (Christmas in July), Simon Says Stamp (Bright and Cheerful)
