Less Is More #404 - Typography

Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge over at Less Is More and for this fortnight we are after clean and simple cards using Typography.

I have created a card using our sponsor's stamp set called Shining Bright.

I started off by stamping my light bulb once on my card panel and once again on a piece of masking paper. I cut out the inside of the light bulb that I had stamped on my masking paper then laid it over my card panel. From here I was able to stamp my words within the light bulb creating a cool typography.

I googled typography to get some ideas and the ones that appealed to me were ones that had the text within different shapes - like the ones below:

I hope to see you over at LIM!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges:
Lavinia World Challenge (Anything Goes), Cardz 4 Guyz (inspired by the Beatles "We all Shine on"), A Place to Start (Masking)

  4. You did a great job! Typography adds so much to a design and can be quite distracting when not properly executed! Your masking is perfect! Thanks so much for accepting the challenge this month at A Place To Start! We look forward to seeing more of your work!

  14. Such a great effect and I love that you chose just one word in red. Great design idea xx

  15. This looks beyond stunning -I actually thought the words belong to the stamp, that you only partially inked one word red... But to stamp the words insede the light bulb your self -just genious! xxx

  16. This is an absolutely brilliant use of the light bulb stamp and the text Kylie! The single red word is so cool too. I really love this design. Bravo!
