Christmas Rose

Just a quick post from me tonight to share with you a couple of cards I'd made a couple of weeks ago.

My first card features the new Stampin' Up! set called Christmas Rose. It's a two step stamp set but I just used the outline for this card. I embossed the image then used some Stampin' Up! inks with a water brush to colour. I distressed the edges using a pair of scissors (I couldn't find my distress tool).
There is sparkle on this card as I used a gold ink to colour the berries - unfortunately you can't see it very well in the photo :(

My grandson turns 3 in November, can you believe it! I have obviously made him birthday cards but sometimes I just make something just because. I put the cards away in a box for when it's time to give them to him :)
This card combines new sets by Stampin' Up! called A Grand Kid (I had to have this!) and Flight of Fancy.
I coloured this cute cupid with polychromos, stamped the sentiment, then added little gems to finish off.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Krafty Chicks (Stamp Act), Watercooler Wednesdays (Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist), Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas (Anything Goes), Simon Says Stamp (Stamp It)
Card #2 - Craft Rocket Challenges (Baby/Kid), Unicorn Challenge (For a Child), Daisy Chain Challenges (For the Boys), Send a Smile to Kids (Anything Goes)

Thanks for popping in today - wish me luck as this is my first post using the new blogger....
