Mice on Ice [Double Slider Card]

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? It's Monday morning here (my day off work) so of course I'm in my craft room :) I would like to share a card with you that I finished off over the weekend.

It's a double slider surprise card! I used a NBUS stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn called Mice on Ice in conjunction with others to create this interactive card. I've had these mice for a number of weeks and decided it was time to ink them up.

Pull the tabs and what do you find?
Aren't those skating mice just adorable! I can't ice skate or roller skate to save my life - this would be quite adventurous for me to do!
I have also used the following products - Double Slider Surprise Die set, Winter Village, and Stitched Hillside Borders.

This cute scene was inspired by this card HERE

All my images were coloured with polychromo pencils. The background was created using distress ink and flicking white acrylic paint for the snow.

You may wonder why an Aussie girl creates so many snowy scenes for Christmas Cards... It's so bloody hot here at Christmas we all dream of a White Christmas at some time in our lives ;)  Funny enough, one year it DID snow here on Christmas Day - in Canberra (the capital of Australia). It was 1987. It didn't stay on the ground for long but as a 12 year old, it was pretty cool to see, lol.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Moving Along with the Times (Create a Scene), Creative Knockouts (Lots of Layers), Timeout (Be Adventurous), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions), Darnells NBUS Challenge (Anything New Goes), 2 Crafty Critter Crazies (Anything with a Critter), Christmas 24 (Christmas Animals)

Less is More #428 Shades of Purple

Hello everyone and welcome! It's time for a new challenge over at Less is More!

I have made two cards to share with you -

Card #1
I made a small panel using purple brusho, drying in between laying down the colour. I die cut the sentiment then smothered it with glossy accents.

Card #2
This is a flower by Clearly Besotted which I embossed then coloured with my Zig watercolour pens. The sentiment is also embossed.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - CAS on Friday (Party Time), Seize the Birthday (Die Cuts), Get Creative Challenge (Black + one other colour), Dragon Dreams Challenge (Happy Birthday)
Card #2 - Daisy Chain Challenges (CAS), Bastel-Traum (CAS), Dream Valley Challenges (Embossing)

Christmas Slider

Hi! Yep, I'm still in interactive card making mode...

Today I have a Christmas Slider card using more Lawn Fawn goodies.

This card was actually pretty quick to create. I stamped and coloured my images then die cut them. I assembled the slider part using 5c pieces (they are our smallest coin in Australia).
I used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn - WinterVillage, Home for the Holidays, Slide on Over, and Stitched Hillside Borders.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Fezziwigs Festive Frolics (Interactive Card - my 2nd entry), Cute Card Thursday (No patterned paper), Krafty Chicks (Christmas), Moving Along with the Times (Create a Scene), ABC Christmas (S is for Snowy), Double Trouble (Create a Scene + Transportation), Sweet Stampin' (Anything but a Birthday Card)

Thanks for coming by! :)

Australian Themed Christmas Reveal Wheel Card

Hello! Another interactive from me and this one is based on an Australian Christmas.

The car is parked by the beach filled with presents for when everyone comes back for a BBQ after a swim :)

This is a reveal wheel card so the sentiment changes as the wheel is turned -

I stamped all my images, coloured them with polychromo pencils, then glued them onto the panels I had prepared. The grass was die cut with the Grassy Border Die, I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside border dies to create my sand and water and coloured with Distress inks.
I've used a number of other Lawn Fawn products - Car Critters stamps and dies, Life is Good stamps and dies, Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments, Ho-Ho Holidays stamps and dies.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Fezziwigs Festive Frolics (Interactive Card), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions), Christmas Crafts all Year 'Round (Two things starting with 'S' - Sand & Sun), Die Cut Divas (Holidays), The Merry Little Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes), The 12 months of Christmas Link Up (Say it with a Sentiment)

Thanks for coming by, I hope you have a great day.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Happy 1st Saturday of the month. That means that we have a new challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge.

ANYTHING GOES with the option of YOUR FAVOURITE COLOURS

I have quite a few favourite colour combos and really couldn't decide what to use. I just decided to keep on with my Christmas card trend and ink up this new set I have. It's called To All... by Penny Black.

I stamped the image and coloured him with my polychromos. I added a layer of glossy accents to the christmas ornament although it's a little hard to see it in the photo.
The sentiment is from a Penny Black set called Holly Day Critters. I felt the way it curved around the image was just perfect.

Our wonderful guest designer for this challenge is Bonnie. She does AMAZING work with Penny Black stamps so don't forget to check out her blog.

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor:
Prize - $20 voucher!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Christmas Craft Creations (Animals), Try it on Tuesday (Neat and Tidy), Your Next Stamp (Keeping it Clean), Cute Card Thursday (Anything Goes), Fezziwigs Festive Frolics (Santas little Helper), The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes)

Thanks for popping in today :)

Christmas Rose

Just a quick post from me tonight to share with you a couple of cards I'd made a couple of weeks ago.

My first card features the new Stampin' Up! set called Christmas Rose. It's a two step stamp set but I just used the outline for this card. I embossed the image then used some Stampin' Up! inks with a water brush to colour. I distressed the edges using a pair of scissors (I couldn't find my distress tool).
There is sparkle on this card as I used a gold ink to colour the berries - unfortunately you can't see it very well in the photo :(

My grandson turns 3 in November, can you believe it! I have obviously made him birthday cards but sometimes I just make something just because. I put the cards away in a box for when it's time to give them to him :)
This card combines new sets by Stampin' Up! called A Grand Kid (I had to have this!) and Flight of Fancy.
I coloured this cute cupid with polychromos, stamped the sentiment, then added little gems to finish off.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Krafty Chicks (Stamp Act), Watercooler Wednesdays (Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist), Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas (Anything Goes), Simon Says Stamp (Stamp It)
Card #2 - Craft Rocket Challenges (Baby/Kid), Unicorn Challenge (For a Child), Daisy Chain Challenges (For the Boys), Send a Smile to Kids (Anything Goes)

Thanks for popping in today - wish me luck as this is my first post using the new blogger....
