as your inspiration.

our wonderful sponsor is

and you have the chance to win a £15 E-Gift Certificate to use on the website.

Here is my DT card -

For this card, I simply masked my panel then sponged distress inks onto the card stock. Using white stazon ink, I used a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set to give the background some more interest.

Then I sponged some more ink onto some scraps and stamped the En Francais script stamp in black. Using my punches, I created some pretty, colourful butterflies that I have popped up with foam squares.

I used a rule and black marker for my lines and stamped 'Just for You' from the IBS Teeny Tiny Greetings set.

Skies are definitely Grey!

Happy Saturday!

If you haven't heard we are having wild weather here in Queensland due to a Category 5 tropical cyclone that hit the coast yesterday. I was woken up at 3.30am yesterday morning due to the wind and rain - it was pretty scary. I'm about 1000km away from where the cyclone was due to make landfall so I can't even begin to imagine what it was like up there. Thank goodness there are no reports of lives lost but there is a lot of damage to a number of communities and my thoughts and prayers go out to them.

As the cyclone moved south and downgraded to a tropical low, the weather is deteriorating as the day goes on. We are starting to flood a little and the wind rain is relentless.

At the same time there was a Category 4 cyclone hitting the top end of Australia. Mother nature at its best...

So, what's a girl to do when holed up at home? Retreat to the craft room!

Today I made a card that was totally inspired by the weather.

I have used my stitched rectangle, rainbow and cloud die from Lil' Inkers as well as the sentiment. I created my grass with my hillside border dies from Lawn Fawn.

My raindrops are from PTI

3D Project week at Inspired by Stamping

Hi! Back today to share with you a project that I have created using IBS products. Over at the blog this week we are concentrating on 3D projects.

I am going on a cruise next month to celebrate my 40th Birthday (which isn't until July, lol). I have 5 wonderful ladies joining me so I wanted to make them up some Cruise Survival Kits.

I have used the Summer Fun, Aster and Teeny Tiny Greetings sets.

I have created a little gift box to put all the goodies into. I have embossed the waves from the Summer Fun set and then just used Versamark ink for the words.

.
I haven't shown all the goodies but there are tissues, hand cream, sanitiser, wipes, sunscreen, sea sickness tablets, barocca etc.

I bought each of the girls a nail file and made this little envelope to store it. I embossed the Chevrons from the Aster set.

I made these little tags with the Teeny Tiny Greetings set and used a die from the Fancy Labels 3 Die

Here are the sets that I have used today -

Time to Mask at ATCAS

Hi everyone, back again today as we have a brand new challenge over at Addicted to CAS.

The code word has been chosen by our gorgeous girl, Harriet -

Here is my card -

I started by using painters tape to mask off my panel and stamped my first butterfly. I created a mask for my butterfly from a post it note and continued stamping and masking until I had filled that area.

Once I had removed the painters tape, I coloured my butterflies with Spectrum Noir markers.

I then just used a black marker and ruler to draw my lines.

This card will be going to crafty friend of mine in Canberra that needs to know I am thinking of her :)

We have an amazing Guest Designer at ATCAS for this month - Ellen from In a World of Craft. Please don't forget to visit her blog to say hi!

Stretch Those Dies Part 2

Yes, a second post for me today :) I wanted to create another card like the one I posted earlier but this time I used different dies for my rainbow.

I have the Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods stamps and dies and the birch tree die was perfect for creating my rainbow!

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Life is Good set.

I once again followed the sketch from ShowCASe your Style (It is a loose interpretation this time)

Stretch those Dies!

Good morning everyone. I would like to show you a card that I made last night. I actually had one of those lightbulb moments. I had looked at the sketch over at ShowCASe your Style for a few days and really wasn't sure what to do and then an idea just came to me so off I went into the craft room.

Here is my card

My first idea didn't work out. I created my rainbow using watercolours but didn't like the end result. I wished I had a die that would just cut strips for me but I didn't have that either and then I remembered I had a Window Box die that would do the trick. I cut out my pieces from different coloured paper and mounted them on my light blue panel and then assembled the rest of the card.

The Stitched Rectangle die is from Lil' Inkers as is the sentiment. I used my Stitched Hillside Border die from Lawn Fawn to create my gap.

The little raindrops are from PTI.

Valentine Inspiration

Today, over at Inspired by Stamping, we are sharing Valentine's Day card ideas especially for the girls.

I stepped out of my comfort zone with this card and created something that was the complete opposite of my normal style of Clean and Simple.

Here is my card -

I started with a piece of Vanilla cardstock and embossed the top panel with a swirl folder. I found a little packet of Vintage postcards and stamped the I love you and xoxo from the Teeny Tiny Greetings Set

Then I stamped the ticket from the Vintage Tickets set and fussy cut it out. I used a peg to hold the ticket and postcard together. I placed them on top of a doily and then started to arrange my flowers.

I've used a white daisy and red roses for the arrangment. So beautiful together!

Last of all, I added two die cut hearts.

The cream, white and red colour combination really complimented each other and I loved how it all came together.

Here are the supplies that I have used for this card -
