Penny Black Midway Reminder

Hey! Over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge it's Anything Goes with the option of Spring.
We are now halfway through the challenge so there's still time to link up!

Please make sure that the MAIN FOCUS OF YOUR PROJECT is one of the following: PENNY BLACK IMAGE, PENNY BLACK LARGE SENTIMENT, PENNY BLACK DIE OR PENNY BLACK STICKEROO.

I have used a new to me stamp called Tenderness.

I stamped my flower then coloured it with polychromo pencils and gamsol. I fussy cut it out and adhered it to my panel. The sentiment is from a set by SSS called Bestie.

I have a bit of a 'thing' for dotty background paper at the moment. I really like what it adds to the card but doesn't take away from the focal image.

This card was sent to my best friend for her birthday. We are both 44 years old and have been best friends for 40 years. We met in kindergarten and the rest is history :)

I hope to see you over at the PBSC blog!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Penny Black and More Challenge (Spring Flowers), Allsorts (Lots of Dots), Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes), Timeout (Birthday)

Wine Helps!

Hello again! I have been a little 'naughty' lately and bought a heap of new stamp sets. Lucky for me they are all off a destash page on Facebook so I can justify my purchases due to the low prices :)

Here's a quick card I made using a new to me set by Mama Elephant called Dos Amigos. I combined it with an older set from my stash by Lil' Inkers called Snarky Sentiments.

I had to do some fiddly masking with the sentiment so I could stamp above the rabbit and then also fit words within the sign he is holding. I coloured him with my polychromo pencils and popped the whole panel up with foam tape on a dotty background.

Thanks for popping in :)

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers (B is for Booze), Crafy Animals (Anything Goes), Papercraft Challenges (Pastel Colours), Tales from the Craft Room (Furry Friends), Inkspirational (Animals: Real or Magical),

One Layer CAS

Hi there everyone, how are you? I have a quick card to share with you today.

This is a one layer card using these cute deers that pop in from the edge of the card - from a Waffle Flower set called Books & Coffee. The sentiment is from an older HLS set called Mixed Christmas Sentiments.

Thank you for stopping in today :)

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges:
Crafter's Cafe (Animals), Crafty Hazlenut's Christmas (Anything Christmas Goes + no patterned paper), Sweet Stampin' Christmas (CAS), AAA Cards (Along the Edge), The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes)

Less is More #415

Hi everyone! It's Saturday and time for a new challenge over at Less Is More! We have a colour challenge for you -

I went a BIT overboard with this colour scheme. Once I started, I couldn't stop!

Card #1
(using sponsor's Starlequin stamp set)
I embossed the background stamp, then blended a combination of red and raspberry watercolours using my Zigs. A strip of grey (silver) mirror card gave it a nice edge. I stamped and embossed the sentiments with grey (silver) powder.

Card #2
I embossed the flowers from our sponsor's Pretty Posie set using grey (silver) powder. I coloured them with the same zig markers as above then die cut them. They have been popped up with foam tape.

Card #3
I embossed a stencil with grey (silver) powder and cut the panel down to suit my card. Die cut the Happy sentiment, embossed the Anniversary sentiment then added some glitter dots to finish up. I made this card for my son and DIL's 1st wedding anniversary :)

Card #4
I created this panel with two different brusho colours using the smooshing technique. I used the same Happy die cut and added some grey enamel dots this time.

Hi there everyone! I am pretty excited to share with you that I am now a designer for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Yay! The first Saturday of each month marks the start of each new theme. The challenges are always Anything Goes with an optional twist.

Our challenge for March is

ANYTHING GOES WITH THE OPTION OF 'THINK SPRING'

Here is my card using Penny Black "Betsy Bluebell". I have had this stamp set for EVER and actually it was one of my original purchases when I first started stamping :)

I simply stamped and coloured my image then used some craft foam to pop her up on some cute designer paper.

HLS March CAS Challenge

Hello!

Over at Happy Little Stampers we have our new monthly CAS Challenge.

My favourite technique is to use Brusho powders. For my cards I have created two similar designs using the Smooshing technique.

For both cards I used glossy cardstock. I smooshed a couple of panels and then used my MISTI to stamp. This is very handy because it is hard to stamp on glossy cardstock without moving a little while stamping.
I fussy cut all my flowers then adhered them to a base which I had sprinkled brusho on and gave it a light spritz with water.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Happy Little Stampers (Watercolour + optional flowers), Mix it Up Challenge (Anything Goes + Smooshing), Penny Black and More (Spring Flowers),

Thanks for popping in and I hope to see you at the challenge blog :)

Less Is More #413

Hello! Time for another cool challenge that will run for 2 weeks over at Less Is More.
Our last challenge focused on the 'Less' and now we want you to focus on the 'More' but still keeping it all CAS.

How many small images/shapes/sentiments are you able to incorporate to your design but still keep your card CAS? For example tiny flowers, stars, snowflakes etc

Here is my card -
I stamped my first line of bears, masked them, then stamped the second line. I repeated this step for the third line.
I coloured them with polychromo pencils and gamsol. Lastly, I added the die cut party hats and happy birthday sign

In total I have 21 bears on my card which really kept with the theme of having 'MORE' but keeping it CAS ;)

Gone Fruity!

A quick post from me tonight. I've had a quick play in the craft room after being inspired by a few challenges around blog land.

Here are my cards -

Card #1
I created a pineapple background for this card using a two part stamp from the 'One in a Melon' set  by Close to my Heart.A simple sentiment from HLS 'Smile!' set to complete :)

Card #2
I created 'grass' using the top of my pineapple after masking the complete pineapple. I then added the sentiment, once again, from the HLS 'Smile' set.

The theme over at the Twofer Challenge is 'Fruit'. I have made two different cards for two different occasions using the same stamp :)

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Tuesday Throwdown (Create your own Background), Double Trouble Challenges (Again and Again), Your next Stamp (Create your own Background)
Card #2 - Unicorn Challenge (Anything Goes)

Another total Eclipse

Hello!
Since I had my alphabet dies out I decided to create another card using the eclipse technique. I also needed a 40th Birthday card so I decided to get out my numeral dies and use them as well.

Card #1
Created using HLS 'Born to be Wild' stamp set and Papertrey Ink's 'By the Numbers' dies.
I used a little gold mica powder mixed with water to create my splats.

Card #2
This is a second birthday card for my Mum. I wasn't completely happy with the original one so I decided to create another. I heat embossed the flower with white powder, then coloured it in with a pink polychromo pencil and gamsol. I added a bit of orange into the mix as well.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Penny Black and More (Animals, Birds, and Butterflies), Crafty Animals (Anything Goes), Seize the Birthday (All Creatures Great and Small), A Place to Start (Masculine)
Card #2Stamping Sensations (Feminine), Creations in Pink (Anything Goes in Mainly Pink), Crafty Calendar (Use Die Cuts/Punches), Happy Craft Challenge (Anything Goes)
