Inkspirational #177 - Word Prompt

Hi there everyone! It's the last challenge for the year over at Inkspirational and this fortnight we want you to CASE your favourite card from 2018 or one from another Designer.

I decided to CASE this beautiful card from my teamie at Inkspirational  - Marina

Here is her card -

This is my CASE -
I started by creating a mask using a circle die and masking paper. I stamped my Paper Artsy flowers randomly using my MISTI. I used Zig glitter pens to colour them in and gave them a little extra bling by using a gold and white gel pen.
I used a black pen to create the border to define the circle of flowers.

I die cut my sentiment twice, layered it, then adhered it to my card front.

Very easy, actually! I hope to see you over at Inkspirational!

I would also like to enter my card over at the following challenges -

Allsorts Challenge - Thanks a Bunch (thank you or florals as the focal)

R is for RUDE Christmas

Hi there everyone. I created a VERY rude Christmas card that I wasn't going to blog (for obvious reasons) but I really couldn't help it when I saw the challenge over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

If you get offended by 'rude words' please exit now :)

I created this card using my new Stamping Bella Oddballs stamps. I used some letter stamps to create the rude part of my sentiment. I fussy cut the images out and popped them up for dimension.

I wasn't really expecting to blog this so the photo isn't the best... I coloured Mr and Missus with watercolour pencils then covered them with a glitter pen.

Thanks for popping in today and I hope you have had a giggle at my card :)

Inkspirational #176

Hello! It's challenge time over at Inkspirational. For this fortnight we have a photo to help you. I took inspiration from the wine theme.

This is a new stamp set for me - Art Impressions "Wine Divas". I used my Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the image. I haven't used these for a while and need to start practising again. I created the polka dots with a white gel pen.

Here is the photo -

As you can see there is HEAPS to choose from. There are candles, feathers, fruit and cheese, wine glasses, oils. There are beautiful colours - gold, blue, green, red. Choose whatever you like!

Challenge me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

Hi everyone! Once again I was asked by the lovely Michelle Lupton to join in on her annual Christmas Challenge. I had to challenge Michelle to create a card using a particular theme/colour/technique etc.

I decided to 'make' Michelle create a light up card! You can find her's over on her blog - I can't wait to see it!

Here is my card - it was very simple to create this card. I used the dies for the scene to create windows that light up. I embossed the sentiment.

The sentiment, when pressed, activates the lights :)

This is a smaller sized card than I am used to making but I have not long purchased an envelope maker board thingo. which I will break out of the packaging for this card.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in today and don't forget to visit Michelle!

Inkspirational #175

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. I've been missing in action for the last couple of challenges but now I am back on track and getting organised!

Our wonderful Carol has an awesome theme for this challenge -

Here is my card -

I had some leftover backgrounds while creating with stencils so this was a pretty quick and easy card to make. I used the Brusho and Stencil technique (which you can see on youtube HERE if you are interested)

I mounted the panel on some silver mirror card and die cut my sentiment from the same card. Very easy and perfect for when you are creating lots of Christmas cards :)

I hope to see you over at the challenge blog with your Christmas creations xx

HLS December Watercolour Challenge

Here is my youtube tutorial on how to create these backgrounds

One Layer Snowflakes

Hi everyone! I've had some crafting time this afternoon. I've made a number of cards for upcoming DT commitments and my last card has been made 'just for fun'! :)

I used the HLS Let it Snow set to create this easy one layer card. I used my MISTI to stamp my snowflakes in different archival inks. The sentiment was last. It took me about 5 minutes to create. Easy!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

Blue is my favourite colour :)

12 Days of Christmas Winner AND a few ATCs

Hi everyone! Life has been challenging lately. It seems that the days are going quicker than ever and there is more 'stuff' to be done that doesn't involve crafting.
On the upside, one of those things keeping me busy is my Grandson, Benjamin. I can't put into words how this kid affects me so much. How can you love someone so much? I dunno, but I ain't complaining. We have very special moments even though he only just turned 1 at the beginning of the month. As soon as he sees me, his face lights up ready for a cuddle and playtime with Nanny. He apparently says 'Nanny' too! I say apparently because he has only said it when I'm not around...

Here's a couple of pics from his party (yes, I had a turn on the jumping castle LOL)

My sad news is that at the end of October, my fur baby Abby who was my best friend and shadow had to be put to sleep. She had a growth in her mouth and unfortunately they couldn't help her. I am still devastated by the loss and miss her terribly.

Ok, I have a winner to announce! I had recently held my 12 Days of Christmas challenge and had lovely entries, thank you! I'm sorry I haven't commented on them, please forgive me. They are all brilliant!

There was only one winner, though, chosen by Random.org.

Congratulations, Leanne! Please email me at kyliepurtell@gmail.com and let me know your postal address so I can send you out your prize :)

Over the last couple of days, I have been created Artist Trading Coins. Never heard of them? Perhaps you have? They are exactly like Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) but in the shape of a 2.5" circle. They are really fun to create. As you may know, Happy Little Stampers has an ATC challenge each month. We now also include coins for this challenge.

I have also started up a Worldwide ATC Swap Group on Facebook!
We are only small at the moment but I hope that we will become the biggest and best swap group going around. There has been plenty of swapping going on already from all over the world!

So, I would like to share my ATCs with you -

First up is a set of coins that I have swapped to Linda Walmsley in the UK. Linda gave me the idea to purchase some 2.5" MDF rounds. They are fantastic to either create on or adhere the coins to.

I would like to enter my coins over at -
Dream Valley Challenges - No squares or rectangles
Get Creative Challenges - Anything but a Card

Next is a set of coins that will also be off to the UK - to Jane Taylor! These coins are not adhered to the MDF round but I did have a bit of a light bulb moment. Because I had stamped with distress ink, I was worried about the ink smudging or running. I used a die to cut a circle from clear contact (the stuff we cover books with), and covered the face of the coin with it. It is now completely protected.

I would like to enter this coins over at -
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes and using the optional twist of Christmas/Winter
Country View Challenges - Artist Trading Coins

Last but not least, thanks to the new FB group, I am sending off this set of ATCs to the lovely Rhonda in the USA.

12 Days of Christmas - Day Twelve

Uh oh! Oh no! It's the last day of my 12 Days of Christmas. It's been so much fun having my friends join in with their inspiration for you and it's been great seeing everyone link up their cards!

Each day I will create a Christmas card and hopefully inspire you to play along in my link up. I will be joined by a friend, daily, who will also create for you!

Here is my card - with this one, I had stuck the die cut sentiment (red mirror cardstock) onto the card then hit a block. I just couldn't decide what to do. The Jingle Bells song that we used to sing as kids popped into my head... I hope you know how it goes lol.

I am going to add this to the linkup at Less Is More, where sadly it will be the last month for Sarah Platt. She has spent 4 years creating for the challenge blog and I know that she will be missed!

Today I have Sarah Platt creating for us. I love the non traditional colours and the whimsical wreath Sarah has created!

Thanks for joining us with your inspiration, Sarah!

I also have a little surprise for each of my guests. I decided that for each daily post, I would CASE one of their cards. I looked through just about every post these ladies had ever done and wow, the choices were nearly too much for my little brain ;)

Here is Sarah's card
(another Birthday card I changed into Christmas)

Welcome to Day Eleven. Phew, there has been a lot of inspiration so far and I hope you will still play along.

Each day I will create a Christmas card and hopefully inspire you to play along in my link up. I will be joined by a friend, daily, who will also create for you!

Here is my card - created very quickly using the MISTI to stamp my berries and sentiment. I coloured the berries with sharpies.

Today I have Carol Mayne creating for us. That background is so beautiful and now I will have to find those dies to buy them - thanks Carol, not! LOL.

Thanks for joining us with your inspiration, Carol!

I also have a little surprise for each of my guests. I decided that for each daily post, I would CASE one of their cards. I looked through just about every post these ladies had ever done and wow, the choices were nearly too much for my little brain ;)

Carol's idea to create a Santa using a tag and 'mo' was an awesome idea. I love this!

Each day I will create a Christmas card and hopefully inspire you to play along in my link up. I will be joined by a friend, daily, who will also create for you!

Here is my card - I went to use my glitter texture paste but it had dried up :( I used regular white texture paste and sprinkled glitter over it before it dried. It was a bit hit and miss but it looks quite nice in real life :)

Today I have Angie Cimbalo creating for us. Angie has created a beautiful Christmas card. Her sponging for the background is perfect, as is her stamping. Don't you love the touch of sparkle!

Thanks for joining us with your inspiration, Angie!

I also have a little surprise for each of my guests. I decided that for each daily post, I would CASE one of their cards. I looked through just about every post these ladies had ever done and wow, the choices were nearly too much for my little brain ;)

I really loved this card below by Angie. I tried to CASE it as best I could with the supplies I have. I loved how inspired I was by her design.
