We need your help!

We need your help.

Our dear friend Bozena (friend and fellow design team member at Happy Little Stampers), needs our help in saving her brother’s life.

Her brother, Christopher (46) has been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He has gone through two courses of chemotherapy and is not strong enough to continue with more treatments.

The only option for him now is to try alternative medical treatments, which are available in Germany, but have a very high financial cost ($220,000 Euros --- approximately $246,000 US).

We have been blessed with many friends made through this wonderful craft of card making. And we know that crafters are very generous of heart.

We ask that you help Christopher fund his medical treatments. We have set up a PayPal button for donations. Please consider donating to help save Christopher’s life. Any amount … even a few dollars, when donated by many, grows quickly.

Whether you are able to help financially or not, please consider adding Christopher to your prayers.

Thank you so much.

Another way to support Christopher.

Our crafting community is known for pulling together in support of those in need. If you have time, a positive message card would be greatly appreciated to boost Christopher’s spirits. Thanks to Marti for this wonderful suggestion.

Cards may be send to:

Butterfly Friend

Hi there everyone. A quick post from me today.

I was totally inspired by a card that Sandie made HERE and the current challenge at Time Out where the theme is 'Friendship is Golden'.

I embossed the bottom of my panel and then stamped my butterfly and sentiment. They are from the HLS Butterfly Birthday set.

Once the black ink was set, I coloured it in with a gold Wink of Stella pen.

I haven't had much luck with photos lately as it has been a little overcast. I hope you can see a bit of the golden glitter in the photo below.

Have you played yet?

Hi there! Just a quick reminder for you that our challenges at HLS are still open to enter. In fact, you have until the end of the month.

Here is my mid month inspiration for you -

I made this card for our Christmas Challenge which is

My sparkle was created by die cutting some ornaments from gold glitter paper and embossing in gold on the middle ornament.

The sentiment is from the Mixed Christmas Sentiment set from Happy Little Stampers.

I really struggled to photograph this card. The next photo was taken with the sun streaming through the window and straight onto the glitter.

I used a small hole punch at the top of the ornaments and combined gold and red embroidery thread to 'hang' them up. They are actually adhered to the card with foam squares.

The next card I made is for our CAS Challenge using Butterfly Birthday stamps.

I embossed the middle butterfly, created a mask out of a post it note and then stamped and embossed the second and third butterfly then the sentiment.

Using a wet brush and then my brushos, I laid down the colours.

I hope you will find the time to play along this month!

Party Time!

Good morning! I hope you are all enjoying your crafty time at the moment.

I certainly enjoyed some time in my craft room last night playing with stamps from Happy Little Stampers.

Here is my first card

Again, I have stamped with neon inks. Love them!

I have used a number of die cuts with this card but my sentiments are still the focal point.

For this one I embossed the sentiment straight onto the card base and decorated around it.
The twine looks a little crooked in the photo but it actually isn't ;)

Neon Birthday and Framed Butterfly

Hi there! I hope I find you well today.

I was creating again with the new stamps from Happy Little Stampers.

I've decided that the Bold Birthday Sentiments are great when you use neon colours!

The panel was created by using rectangle dies and then I stamped my 'party' words around it in neon ink. I popped it up with foam tape.

My next card uses Butterfly Birthday

I sprayed the background panel with inks that I had mixed myself with Mini Misters The blue is a waterbased ink, the pink is a pigment ink and the purple is alcohol ink that I mixed with blending solution.

Then I stamped the butterfly with Memento Luxe and coloured it with my wink of stella pens.

After stamping my sentiment, I popped up the photo frame with little foam squares.

More designs for Happy Little Stampers

Hi everyone. A quick post from me today to share with you cards that I made last night using stamps from Happy Little Stampers.

First up is a birthday card that I thought would be good for a 16th birthday - male or female

To create my 'th', I masked off the birthday stamp so I only inked up the t and the h. Cool huh? I emobssed the stars with gold powder.

Next up are a couple of cards using the Butterfly Birthday set.

Both were created using watercolour paper which I have run out of! Dear Lord! Thank goodness I have some coming in the post :)

I created my own ink sprays by using the Mini Mister that you can purchase at the HLS shop. I mixed some reinkers with water (the blue and pink) into the mini spray bottle. Awesome! I also mixed some alcohol ink with blending solution to see how that would work. A test piece was sprayed on and it worked like a dream. More on that later.

Rainbow Happy Birthday!

Hi there everyone. Hope you are having a wonderful day.

I would like to share a card that I have made using stamps from Happy Little Stampers, Distress Inks, Water, Embossing powder, and a piece of acetate.

My rainbow colours turned out so pretty.

I created this by firstly embossing the sentiment and stars with white powder.

I added some distress ink (from a pad) onto a small piece of acetate, misted it with water and laid it onto the watercolour paper and smooshed it around a bit.

I kept repeating this until I was happy with the colours.

Here are the tools that I used for this card that you can find at Happy Little Stampers.

HLS August Christmas Challenge

Hi there everyone! Today starts a new Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers!

This month our challenge requires you to create anything Christmas, in any style using our word -

That's right! Add some sparkle to your life and your Christmas project.

Here is my DT card -

This was my 4th attempt at creating this card. Geez!! I wanted to mask my snow banks but I really sucked big time and it just wouldn't work for me.

So I settled on using distress inks and a small mask for the moon to create the background. Then I used some die cuts for my snow banks. Cheating? Hmmmm, I preferred the end result lol.

I stamped my sentiment which is from the HLS Mixed Christmas Sentiments set. LOVE this set! When designing it, I just wanted sentiments that you could use on any Christmas Card you wanted to make. I had found that my current collection of stamps didn't really have the sentiments I wanted to be able to use.

My sparkle was added by using stickles along the edges of the dies. I was going to stamp or emboss some stars in the sky but decided that a white gel pen would be perfect for little dots to create snow.

Here is a look at the stamp set that I used for this card -

HLS August CAS Challenge

Hello and good morning! I hope everyone is well and ready for a new CAS Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

This month we are concentrating on

I love masking images and in particular butterflies as you can see by the card I have made.

I have used the new Butterfly Birthday set from Happy Little Stampers. Did you know that we have our own line of stamps now? I love the butterfly set (if I do say so myself, wink wink).

For this card, I embossed my first butterfly onto watercolour paper and then used a post it note mask to cover it up and embossed the next one. I repeated this step until I had my four butterflies.

To create the watercolours, I used brushos in my paint tray and added the first colour (which happened to be purple). I dried off the first layer then added a puddle of colour to the edges of that butterfly and misted it with some water so it would run off the edges. I repeated this step with the other colours.

I hope that you can join in the fun this month! We can't wait to see what you come up with :)
