Just Add Ink - Sketch Challenge

I've just finished my challenge - Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge

Hi there,

Well I had a lovely couple of weeks in Canberra visiting my mum, family and friends. While visiting, I met Kim Badelt and signed up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. This is more to satisfy my retail/stamp therapy lol.

I was pretty excited to get home and rip open my box from Stampin' Up! Heaps of goodies to be looked at. It was a few days before I could really start crafting but I had also transformed my dining room into a complete craft room (thanks to my dad and son for their help).

I have started doing a couple of cards with my new gear and also did a scrapbook page to commenorate ANZAC day. My son and I are volunteers for the Rural Fire Brigade and we marched in the ANZAC day parade. I was so proud to be part of this event.

I also see a couple of challenges I will have to have a look at from Just Add Ink. The weather here today is like a mini cyclone going through. Good day to stay inside and no excuses for not crafting!

Here is my scrapbook page -

While in Canberra, I also made some cute christmas cards. A little early, I know, but there were stamps mum has and I was mucking around with her stuff lol.

These stamps are from the Christmas Line Up set from Stampin' Up!

This is a card that I made for my mum. It is the first time that I even thought about getting the sewing machine out and giving it a go. (I am not very good at sewing!). I was really happy with the result, though, and I can see myself using it more and more.

I am actually down visiting my mum for a couple of weeks. It's so good to see her as it can be months between visits. Mum is essentially the one who got me into cardmaking. Last Friday night we went to a class at Kim's house which was themed for boys. We made 9 cards in all which were really cute. I had a lot of fun and it helped with my withdrawals!! I hadn't made a card in a few days, lol.

I love learning new techniques and looking at ideas for inspiration.

Just Add Ink Challenge - Multi Photo Layout

Here is my entry for Just Add Ink's challenge - Multi Photo Layout

I thought I might put up a card that I made for my neice. I really enjoy trying the watercolour effects. I'm still learning all the techniques that go with watercolouring, but I don't mind the end results too much lol.

For this card, I used the Betsy Bluebell stamp set by Penny Black. I just adore these stamps! The image was coloured using water crayons and blender pen.

I need to save up for my Copic set!! I would die to try them out.....
Hi there!

Well, this is my first ever blog!

I am very late into the 'blog scene' but better late than never, don't they say?

I am a fairly new crafter. I started doing a few scrapbook pages about 7 years ago and hadn't done much since. It wasn't until about 12 months ago that my mum got me into cardmaking and other projects. I must say that I am now pretty much addicted to cardmaking and especially with stamps. This opened up a whole new world for me (not to mention the extra cost lol) and I try and do a little bit of craft each day.

I love looking for new ideas and techniques. I have a long way to go as far as being decked out with all the you-beaut gizmos and gadgets, but I try and make do with what I have got and try and add to my collection bit by bit.

Thanks for having a look at my blog - as soon as I know what I am doing, it should get a bit more interested lol.

Also, check out my facebook page - Addicted to Stamps.

Cheers!
