Hi everyone! Today there is a special combination of challenge blogs with a very special challenge for you. Less is More and AAA Cards are coming together for a crazy two weeks of fun.
Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring this challenge for both LIM and AAA so I was asked to be a Guest Designer for them. Woo hoo.
Now, one layer cards do NOT worry me at all and then I found out it couldn't be on white cardstock. Argghhh! I actually don't have a lot to choose from when it comes to coloured cardstock but I had an unopened packet of neon colours that were perfect for this!
Here are my cards - (you may need your sunglasses for these ones!)
Simple stamping (using my MISTI) for Card #1 and a combination of stamping and inlaid diecuts for Card #2 and Card #3. Neon cardstock is a little slick so you have to be careful when stamping that you don't smudge your work.
Here are the products I have used from Happy Little Stampers for these cards -
I hope you will play along at the challenges - there is a great prize to be won from Happy Little Stampers. Check out the challenge blogs for more details.
Today we start our new CAS challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. We have a very easy theme for you this month -
Just remember to keep it clean and simple.
My card is very CAS AND one layer!
I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment (HLS Everyday Sentiments) and Chevrons (HLS Mix Mash). I added a few enamel dots and then flicked a bit of black acrylic paint to give it more 'body'.
This card took me about 5 minutes to make. So easy!
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
Thanks for popping in. See you at the challenge blog!
Hello! Goodness me the year is flying by! We have another fun challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. The start of the month means we kick off with our -
Yep! Anything Goes but you may like to play along with our optional twist - we would like you to use a masking technique.
Here is my card -
Making this card involved many twists and turns. I had started off with an image other than the butterflies but what I had in my head just wouldn't translate to paper.
Once I had decided to go with my butterflies, I was much happier. I stamped and masked the butterflies, coloured them with zigs and covered them with wink of stella.
I had finished the panel and I really wasn't 'digging it'. Insert loud audible sigh right here!
Looking at just the butterflies I had a bit of a lightbulb moment and decided to fussy cut them out. I was much happier with what was coming together.
I used foam squares to pop up my butterflies and I also embossed the sentiment.
This card went over to the UK for Sandie's birthday :)
Hello everyone! Today is quite exciting because I am going to be designing once again for the fantastic challenge blog Inkspirational. I would like to thank Marina for the invitation - I couldn't say no :)
Well, the first challenge I have come back to was a little puzzling to me because I had never heard of this technique before!
I was thinking..... huh??? But, I did a googly search and found some really interesting ideas. It actually wasn't as hard as it first looks.
Here is my card.
I really loved how this turned out! I used my MISTI to place my first large stamp - the Happy from HLS Everyday Sentiments. I used that as my 'base' for my other stamps. I decided to stamp on an angle. I used a variety of sentiment stamps which included Everyday Sentiments, Mix Mash, Bold Birthday Sentiments and Fun Birthday Sentiments. The funny thing was that once I started I didn't want to stop. I had so many fun stamps!
I stamped with archival inks in Jet Black, Watering Can, Cornflower Blue, Sap Green, Viridian, and Aquamarine. I love how this would be perfect for a masculine card because I really struggle with those!!
This is also a ONE LAYER card so it is perfect for mailing!
I hope to see you over at Inkspirational for this challenge because it is a really fun technique that you should try :)

Hi there! We've had some nice rain over the last couple of days which has helped with cooling things down a little. I had some spare time last night so I decided I would try and come up with a card for my Nan who turns 80 this month.
I have actually sat in my craft room many times over the last few weeks and do you think I could come up with just one thing? Nope! So frustrating. Anyway, even though I have plenty of goodies to play with in my Happy Little Stampers stash, it is always fun to play with my other stamps. I actually have a new set (Peony Bouquet) that I couldn't resist - one of the companies I love for their layering stamps is Altenew.
Here is my card
It is always a bit of a task when using these stamps for the first time especially if you are going to do layering. I sort of cheated and just went with the outline stamps for this card. The reason was that I wanted to do some watercolouring :)
I stamped the outline of the large flower onto some masking paper and fussy cut it out. Using my MISTI, I stamped and masked my flowers and greenery using Versamark ink and then embossed them with white powder.
I used my Zigs to colour in the images and then threw a few splats over the panel.
The sentiment was the perfect size - from Happy Little Stampers 'Mix Mash' stamp set. I used my MISTI to stamp it as well. There is nothing worse than taking all the time to create a card and then stuffing up the sentiment!!
I am now very happy I have been able to create something after all this time!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge over at Less Is More and I am delighted to be their Guest Designer! Also, Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring so don't forget to play along for the chance to win a $15 gift certficate to the shop :)
The theme at LIM for this challenge is
ADJACENT HUES ON THE COLOUR WHEEL
I decided to go with colours that were always 'never to be seen' together. Blue and Green!
Here is my card -
I cut a panel of watercolour paper using a stiched die. I 'Got Ziggy With It' and started laying down colour using Cobalt Blue and Light Green Zigs. I used a waterbrush to move the colour around. I dried it between layers with my heat gun.
I stamped my flower and leaves from the HLS Doodled Flowers set onto watercolour paper using Archival ink. I heat set the ink so it wouldn't bleed once I started to add the colour and water. I fussy cut them out ready to assemble onto my card. Once the colour was dry, I went over them with clear wink of stella to add some pretty sparkle.
I stamped the sentiment from the HLS Mix Mash set onto a strip of white cardstock. I used glue to assemble most of the card - I also used fun foam behind my watercolour panel to add dimension. The raindrops are from PTI.
Voila - done!
Here are the sets that I used to make this card
Thanks for popping in today and I hope to see you over at the challenge blog!
By the way, check out the new look for Less Is More! Well done girls!
Hi there everyone. I have a card to share with you today that was inspired by one I received in the mail from the wonderfully talented Sarah (Sazzle Dazzle). It has been sitting proudly in my lounge room for weeks and weeks. I absolutely loved it - you can see her card HERE.
As well as CASEing Sarah's card, I decided to do a video tutorial as well. Unfortunately when I went to download the files from the card... well... they weren't there. Bugger. Will have to refilm it again tomorrow. So for the time being, I just have the card to share with you :)
Sarah created her brusho panel using yellow, red, and orange (I think) and the colours were amazing. I wanted to go wth a blue panel. I embossed the butterflies onto watercolour paper first. I also decided to emboss some circles for a bit of extra fun. I 'smooshed' my cardstock into three different colours of brushos (drying in between each smoosh) - Turquoise, Cobalt Blue, and Grey.
I die cut the word Smile 3 times in white cardstock and and glued them all together. The last diecut was in gold glitter paper and glued on last. This gave the sentiment amazing dimension. The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of card and then cut to size. The glitter dots finished it off.

Hi everyone and welcome back. Today is the start of a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers.
I have created a VERY simple card. It took no time to make at all.
I stamped with the Mix Mash set in Neon Ink onto my card base. I cut a piece of vellum to fit and embossed it with a dot folder. I adhered it with vellum tape (love this stuff as you can't see it through the vellum!) and cut a smaller piece of vellum for my sentiment. Easy!!
The vellum gives you that softness over the neon that makes the card very pretty.
There is plenty of inspiration over at the challenge blog so pop over there to get some ideas for you to enter!

July has got me REALLY excited because the countdown is on. I'm off to the UK to host the first every Happy Little Stampers Craft Retreat. It's a massive journey from Australia by the time we will finally land in London but it will be totally worth it.
The retreat was an idea I had about 18 months ago and there has been a lot of planning involved. The moment I mentioned it to my mum, she wanted to come straight away! I was then telling my bestfriend, Simone, about the trip and encouraged her to think about coming. She said yes! Low and behold when Simone mentioned it to her mum, she wanted to come too! So, it has gone from a trip on my own to an amazing adventure with three amazing women! We can't wait!
Only 18 more sleeps until we leave Australia!!
Ok, on to the real reason I am posting today lol.
Happy Little Stampers started off July with the CASE the Designer (Carol Steedman) and CAS challenges so far. We are now ready to inspire you with our Christmas Challenge.
That's right - use gold on your Christmas creation!
It's so good to be blogging again. I have been so busy with the house move and just life in general that it has taken most of my time and my mojo with it.
Today starts a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. We have a brand new designer to CASE!
I have heat embossed my entire card! I don't do that very often.
The circles from the Mix Mash set were heat embossed in white and then the circle outlines in silver.
I used Distress Ink to create an ombre effect over my panel.
I heat embossed the flower from the Doodled Flowers set and fussy cut it out. The leaves and sentiment were also heat embossed. I used vellum for these elements.
The last step was to add a glitter enamel dot in the center of the flower.
Using Rahmat's card as true inspiration I really only changed a few bits and pieces of my card. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I hope you will join us over at Happy Little Stampers.
Founder of Addicted to Stamps and More! challenge blog, Addicted to CAS challenge blog and Happy Little Stampers blog and Forum.
I love finding new techniques and being inspired by all of you! Hopefully I can provide some inspiration as my way of thanks xx
